got sebring 1.5 (was previously using 1.0). now my personal best is 2:07.87. set wing to 6 and fuel to 5 laps. seems like i set my best times at 3 laps in then the tires go off... after 5 laps the car did not seem to want to brake

sebring 1.5 is a lot smoother than 1.0.

Yeah, the big problem is being consistent with it. I seem to hover around 2:15 or so fairly consistently.

Glad to hear it, I guess i'll have to mess with the setups more but as I don't think i've made 10 fast laps in a row without some sort of incident I better work on that 1st... The tires are an issue that have to be worked with, 1st lap they are horrible and they go away pretty quickly. A 12 second pit stop gets you new tires but costs you a lot more than 12 seconds.

was able to join the server last night. i was able to drive but all the bots had crashed with one another in the pit lane so i was driving by myself.

my setup was pretty much stock except for fuel.

tires do go off quickly. i haven't done a 10 lap stint yet but i can only image how bad they will be.

+1 what sysgen said about bumping each other. I tried to follow an AI car and it was very very hard not to ram him at just about every turn.

If you can get out right behind an AI car it's great practice or set up a time with someone else to practice this.

Don't get frustrated by it, we all just need seat (desk) time

Also, with all the set up secrets you guys are posting I was able to get a 2:06:43.

Just kidding

It must have been all the draft you got off of my car.......

On a serious note, I have done a couple of runs, but I can't brake 2:20.....

keep driving, you'll get there. it took me a while to get a hang of sim driving. i've been doing it off an on for a year now. i'm just starting to race online with you guys.

i find if i don't concentrate too much on braking too deep, i end up with more corner speed. get on the throttle as soon ASAP.

What G25 setting are you all using. I reduced the throttle and brake sensitivity, and that has helped, but Iscrewed up the force feedback setting.

They like to ram each other....

We tried a quick practice race tonight. RayS, Phokio, Jester, myself and 3 AI. Seems to be an issue with the Pace car, he ran into the outside wall (opposite Pit-in) just before the flag went green! While I was scratching my head Phok went wizzing by me and I heard GREEN GREEN GREEN on the radio.. LOL

That was a funny start with the pace car. Unfortunately the wife was getting angry because I wasn't at the dinner table so I had to abort.
We will have to try again.

I only had 4 laps of fuel on board (Qualifying load) and I was given a 10 second stop and go penalty (probably for hitting the pace car........don't know why was he on track after the start??) so I did not have a great race, but it was good practice......
