What you will need to run
rFactor sim for download - http://www.rfactor.net/index.php?page=buyonline

IF you are unsure of your computers ability to run this, read the requirements on site and TRY it out before buying it or going any further. If you have onboard graphics, a sub-2Gz CPU, or less than 1GB of memory on your system there's a good chance it won't run (fast framerates) well enough to use.. A good test is in traffic with 20 cars...

rFactor update patch to version 1250 - http://www.rfactorcentral.net/rFactor1250Update.exe
rFactor update from 1250 to 1255 - http://racecast.rfactor.net/download...55-UpdateF.zip
Porsche Carerra Cup 07 - http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=PCC%202007
Car Skins ( OPTIONAL custom paint jobs, I am running Jagermeister) - http://www.rfactorcentral.com/skins.cfm?ID=PCC%202007
Teamspeak ( http://www.goteamspeak.com/?page=downloads ) is also required so we can easily communicate before/during/after the races and w can use it to assist any that need help getting set up. A headset with a mic is best, set it up to PTT (Push a key To Talk) and assign the "radio" key to a button on your wheel. Do NOT use voice activation.
Sebring track - http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail...=Sebring%2012h

We will start with Sebring and run a modified PCA Club Race schedule. I may put up a dedicated server here during the week to check connectivity.

Email or PM me with any questions. A good place to get answers is http://forum.rscnet.org/forumdisplay.php?f=799 also..

Hey Gary. Very cool. Can you post more details of the schedule (date and time). Take a look at Trackpedia's league format.

I am getting a new computer this week as it turns out. I don't have a wheel yet but I will try to get one and get up to speed (pun intended) in time to do it. It is as close as I can get to seat time until March it looks like right now.

Get the Logitech G25 racing wheel.

Edit: Today is the last day for the $35 rebate. $210 shipped from Amazon is the cheapest you will find it new.

Just ordered the G25 wheel and rfactor & race07. Thanks Gary! Should be a more bearable off-season... I will let you know when I am up and running and we can arrange a race!

Hey that's mine! Don't make fun it's actually comfortable after about an hour and a half of "racing" Besides what else do you do with that little room under the basement stairs? My wife has promised me she's going to bury me in it when I die.

Gary,
What day/time are you going to run the league? How big is the server? We tend to run into bandwidth issues after the size gets above 25 drivers.

You all can have custom skins if you want to paint your own car too. Takes a little coordination but it's pretty easy to paint the cars.

Cool. I am in. What is a good reference time for this track with the Cup Car? First I need to learn which way the turns go

Might also want to get the GTR2 Game of the Year Edition. It comes with GTL which allows you to do the Power & Glory mod which contains the older Porsche cars. You can find GTR2 for under $20 just about anywhere.

All - The times and days are yet to be worked out and we will try and make it convenient for the majority. I'm loading it on a dedicated machine now but it may be low on "ability" to host so I may quickly toss together a better machine just for hosting. First let me get this set up, see if I can connect to it, then i'll give out the pword and server name for initial testing.

For you guys new to sim racing in general, I suck so don't be intimidated, just come on and have some fun...

I'm in! That is if I can get it to work at all. I figured out the 1255 update and now it's late so tomorrow I'll try the other two things I have to download, the cars and track I think. Not real good at the 'puter thing.

When can we start trash talking?

I tried connecting a couple of times but it keeps kicking me out, first time it starts loading then kicks me out then when I try reconnecting I get "Connection Lost" right away.

I've got V1255, the Porsche Carerra Cup 07 cars and the Sebring track. Any ideas?

OK, reset the server and dumped the modified "Bleekemolen Team" and put the original back. I connect fine and also connect to any other open server w/o issue. Be sure to use a car supplied by the mod (no new paint job) and if you can't get into my race try another open server with the Mobil 1 SuperCup and a track you have loaded..
