Private only. there will be commercial rentals avaliable, ie manufacturers, dealers, etc, but for the most part the plan is to keep the Club for members. Drive your heart out and not always on the same track! with a nice club house to relax at in-between sessions.

Did I miss the amount of the Monticello initiation fee for resident members? How much is that?

All I found on the web site was that there was an initiation fee and that the annual cost was $7,500.

Chris, it is 100k, same as the Lime Rock Club. Our PCA Region has been to the site and been around the cleared track in a 4x4 so it is moving along. I think in another thread it was reported that 79 out of the 500 memberships had been sold at the time of the thread.

Speaking of repaving Lime Rock...

I just saw this photo, taken today after, according to the owner, the wheel of this VW met a dip on the pavement at Lime Rock:

The latest on Lime Rock Park Club comes from their sales manager and states that they now have 55 memberships and expect 100 by the end of the year and the full 300 by the end of 2008. They state that they have already reached critical mass and will soon be publishing the 60 days available to club members in 2008.

Looks like they have committed to the Club program for 2008.

I heard from a gentleman that they had 28 deposits and only ONE full commitment as of last weekend. I did notice that there is no Limerock Club Race on Dale's site for next year though...

Easy to put that decimal point in the wrong place isn't it?

I'll believe it when it's either made public or shared with someone who is not a potential member. Nothing new here....salespeople will bend the truth to try to get people to buy in. I'm not saying they're lying, just that they may be sharing a number that was developed based on gut feel.

55 memberships claimed probably means 55 people sent in a $500 refundable deposit in order to review the materials. Real commitments, whether it's 1 or 10, means that $110k was turned over but sits in escrow until 200 in total are reached, which is the legal point at which the money starts being spent and improvements start being made. If it doesn't go ahead, the money is returned from escrow.

It looks like a cast wheel.....that's why good track wheels are forged, they won't crack under track stress. Same thing would happen to a cast wheel at speed wherever there are bumps.
