Also jorg didnt nessesarily brake late, melo pushed him way inside so it looks like he braked late when he was just on a different line.

And a bump is fine when your side by side, infact it makes it exciting, but hitting someones raer corner is a no.
from the blimp view, it appears to me Jorg braked late and went way wide, well before Melo even touched him, Melo moved to the outside on significantly faster line. Jorg wasn't faster, not on the line he took. I wouldn't expect Melo, or any other serious professional driver to lift or brake at the last corner in that situation. As soon as Melo moved on the outside, Jorg should have moved on the inside, no way Melo could have passed him there. But there are thousands of "what ifs", and they are all pointless, Melo won. Great race, great start for the series.

See want you want, but Jorg knows he blew the race and he and his team will know that forever. That was as perfect of race by Melo as you will see in road racing today. His tires were cooked, his braking was inferior and his eyebrows were at his hairline for most of the last lap...yet, he won with perfect moves. Well done!

you have heard the saying, "never leave your wing man" well, in this instance, its "never ever leave a door open". Jorg had the turn, he could have slowed down and made an obvious narrow exit around the second apex and all Melo would have been able to do would be to push him from behind, probably not spinnig him out. Or, Melo would have had the outside to try and pass with, and there wasnt enough straightaway for that to happen. At sebring, you are on the inside of 17 and ahead? you are as good as a winner to the front straight. Hows that for monday morning quarterbacking?

Also, if Melo was in the bumping spirit, why would have "shutting the door" helped? Wouldn't Melo have hit him anyway?
If he hadn't left the door open for Melo to get inside of him, Melo would have been bumping him from behind, not the right side. Big Difference.

We could play the "ifs and buts" game all day. Would Jorg have been bumped if windshield guy had his visor down?

As for the ferrari *** here, how about if you are on the recieving end of a cheap *** move like that?? You just charged from 10 seconds back in 10 laps too get a nice little surprise and then takes you out multiple times until he forces you to wreck or get off the gas so he can win.

Like jorg said, obviously thats how melo needs to race inorder to win races.

IMO melo is an awful driver. He made one good move (the inside cut on 17) but instead of actually driving out of it and drag racing to the end he went straight to punt jorg. WHY? because the porsche was raping him out of every corner and down the straights and he knew this.

Jorg will not be returning the favor to melo he is way to much of a class act to succumb to cheap moves to win, but i bet that the risi ferrari is going to have fun moving through the porsche traffic from here on out.

Its just promoting dirty racing, its a shame. A little bumping is fun to watch but with a little bumping there is still a drag race not a sitituation where one guy pulls out ahead, unless the guy then ahead tried to take the other out.

I love how jorg was "outdrivin" when melo was the one who lost a SIGNIFICANT lead and had to punt jorg to win.
Well Said!
