haha, glad you boys like it, Billy is a hot shoe. I built that car, and all the other Turner cars since 2001. Not going to be building any more though since I no longer work there.
Anyway, have my own shop in the Boston area now, if you guys have any BMW or Porsche questions send a message my way.

Isn't Leh ranked higher than Auberlen?
EDIT: I should learn to research before I go saying things... Grand-Am Driver's Index shows Bill in 37th, and Leh in 44th.

Unless billy has slowed down a bit in old age , there is no comparision . Bill Auberlen a few yrs back was the best American Sports car racer Period. It was a blast to watch his Daytona lap in a ferrari 333sp ( faster than Max) or watch him run ahead of the field at Laguna seca , winning in both a BMW M3 ( ALMS ) and in the BMW Prototype in the same day ..The comparision is cheese to chalk ( no disrespect to Leh) Leh is fast and he is really hooked up in his 996 , but works a lot harder and uses up more machinery than auberlin, who is smoother, it look's like he was doing a yellow flag lap ...while in the lead ..
Ohh, Leh videos rock, i have a collection

Remember also this looked to be a speed TC racer car. So Leh's 996 will be several seconds a lap faster given equal drivers. While the TC BMW is not a slow car it just does not have the HP of Leh's car. And of course the measure of speed is not purely by lap time or by how "fast" it looks from inside, but lap time given the equipment used.

That being said, Keen proved in 2006 that he can run with anyone in the field. Two years ago, he wasn't on many radars as a potential star in the series. To his credit, he's now a driver with strong options and undeniable talent. There's every reason to believe that his upward curve will continue in 2007.
...especially if those tube-frame, GTO ringers are in mothballs.

I certainly did not desire to begin a pissing war of who is faster. Maybe in 10 years, Leh's track record will equal or exceed Bill's. But for now, Bill is the US sports car master. His ability to extract 110% from sometimes lesser cars, and win, is extraordinary.
