PDE is a very great and well run program!! and you will enjoy it!!
The instructor base is second to none, as most of the drivers have racing resumes as long as you arm.

Barber Motorsports Park is one of the most technical tracks in the US to drive, not really fast, but no down time to rest for another corner complex is approaching. As well, it is the cleanest and most beautifuly landscaped. Some call it the "Augusta of Motorsports"

And for eye candy there is the Barber Museum...simply amazing.

Check out some of the PDE videos I've taken here:

Went ther a few years ago and agree with the above posts. Had David Murray and Joe Fox as instructors (among others).
It was great to learn the basics from true professionals!

Agree with above. It's a true PORSCHE, DRIVING, EXPERIENCE. They do a first class job on instruction, (I had Dave Murray and Doc Bundy),meals, all the details. Its a good first driving school, but you'll want to go faster if you have track experience. Even so, the on track time was great and the skidpad and other training exercises were very helpful. The track is beautiful-appeareance and layout. I'm tempted to go back for a DE even though their are many tracks much closer.

You'll love it, the instruction is far better than the typical DE, of course you pay a lot more too.

I have not been to this programme, but know Pierre Savoy pretty well, and he likes doing it. With a long resume as a driver, instructor and very respected professional coach, this carries weight with me. As stated above, the instructor corps reads like a who's who of pro drivers with lots of cred as instructors as well. Not all who can do, can teach. These guys can. Got for it!

I did the Skip Barber 3-day school here at Laguna Seca, which was a great experience. Now I'm signed up for the Masters 2-day w/ PDE. I've heard it's awesome.

I did it at Road Atlanta about four or five years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. The instruction is extremely well done with a progressive curriculum. If you have done a lot of DEs you may find some of the track work a bit slow- they use a lead/follow routine hence you're no faster than the slowest car. But the exercises are informative and great fun- they're done at your own pace- and I would bet even most DE veterans would learn something and enjoy themselves.

Hurley Haywood and Doc Bundy were our instructors and capped the sessions by taking us for "hot laps". You think you're pretty good until you drive with them....

Heh, heh--oh yeah.

I was riding with David Murray. Hurley Haywood passed us coming out of T8, and we passed him back exiting T12. And I thought I new something about driving.

My wife bought a weekend for me at PDE. At first I thought it was going to be something of a waste of money. After all - for what that weekend costs, you can afford a whole season of PCA Driver Ed!

Boy was I wrong! I learned a lot from Joe Fox and David Murray (what a great guy!)
I had a realy breakthrough with my heel-n-toe courtesy of Pierre! That alone was worth the price of admission.
