Default ColorChange summation

Love him or hate him, you have to admit that he has been responsible for about 90% of all the posts on this board that are worth reading.

I guess I am not so sensitive to his attitude and strong language, compared to my older brother he is a saint.

I have enjoyed the whole thing greatly, and cannot wait for the next episode!

And now for some Haiku:

My G-sum is huge
On the edge of the circle
I just blew by you

In slow and fast out
My instructor told me so
Why am I so slow?

What am I doing?
This is a waste of time, right?
I should be working

While I have a hard time with his style and attitude, I do find it very interesting and helpfull reading the thoughts of others that try to get him to look at a point of view other than his own.

Ergo !!! The value in these posts is the information provided by those who are trying to correct CC's Theory's!

I agree on both points. I've gained a wealth on insight from this board (been lurking for some time now) and most of it from those responding to CC.

And the humor is a nice side bar!

Default Haiku to you too!

Dive in on the brakes
Then jump hard on the gas
Is that all there is?

Almost anything that gets you thinking can be worthwhile!

The important thing about most of the comments is almost everyone gives a reson for the way they think! Then you can consider its validity!

With all due respect, I disagree.

If I were a novice trying to learn something by reading through the threads on this board, ColorChange's posts would either send me off in the wrong direction (if I believed him) or seriously eat into time better spent learning from people who actually know what they're doing.

I think ColorChange (and GhettoRacer, and a handful of other internet-troll types who have spent time pontificating on Rennlist) lower the quality and usefulness of a resource that benefits from having a lot of extremely knowledgable participants who are very generous with their time.

ColorChange remains an unskilled amateur who devotes much more time defending his theories about driving online than he does actually tracking his car. That he presents himself as some kind of authority after one trip to the track in his 996TT is -- in my opinion -- 100% the opposite of what Rennlist is about.

I must point out, y'all
Haikus have syllables grouped
in five, seven, five

Line one must have five
Second line that plus two more
Third has five again

Rhyme not a factor
Sense also is optional
Rennlist's big insult

Jack,

The novice has to take whatever information he finds (especially on the internet) and use it at his own risk. Plus, this forum is not entitled 'Novice Driving Tips'.

I don't think CC ever represented himself as anything but an unskilled amateur. Yes, his tone indicates that he is pretty sure of himself, but generally the points he made so strongly were more theoretical than practical.

My point is that, whether you love him or hate him, agree or disagree, you must admit that because of him there has been more useful technical discussion here in the last month than at any other time. The value of the information presented here is going to vary for each reader, but at least it is here.

I come to his defense because by going out on a limb he has improved the content of the forum. Even if I thought he was 100% wrong, I have to respect him for defending his position so strongly. Plus, almost all the technical issues he came up with were more or less correct, at least in the general sense.
