PCA medical committee revoked my race license
#2296
Perhaps "getting his license back" is no longer the real issue for Todd (as he's already been on track with other sanctioning bodies) , but rather sticking to a principle that he feels quite strongly about, and one that could possibly result in positive changes with the management and administration of the Club...

As I have said repeatedly, I believe in PCA and PCA CR, and I want to see the club racing program flourish.
It is the current management that I strongly disagree with. If things change, I would love to come back.

I can't help but think that a big part of the problem in the middle east is that neither side likes to eat bacon. Bacon would unite them and end all the problems if they would only let bacon into their hearts.

What is so wrong with PCA CR that big changes are needed? No one besides you has loudly and persistently publicized a complaint. Seems that this thread is motivated by a personal grievance. You could have been happily racing with PCA if you had simply provided the requested CPAP data, which apparently has been requested from other racers and they've provided it. Attendance at PCA races could be down for a lot of reasons, including a general decline in attendance at races across the board.

Passive compliance by the masses with the ridiculous demands of power hungry bureaucrats shouldn’t be equated as being an absence of problems.
An awful lot of people paid taxes on tea… some didn’t think that was reasonable. (not suggesting that the scenarios are identical, but the spirit behind the actions certainly is IMHO).

Todd is acting as the voice not only for himself but also for those who have previously been wronged by the management but who do not wish to publicly express their dissatisfaction.
Why is that so hard to see?

Quite confident they’ve been spelled out numerous times in this trove of dialog. I understand that you don’t seem to see it as a problem.
My point remains that just because many people go along with something, that absolutely doesn’t mean that it’s right. Quite a bit of historical precedent to back that up. You’re able to use the Internet as evidenced by your posts here, so I will assume you have access to all of the wonderful sources of data that might help illustrate that point.

Good point. But to be fair, most of them have never tried bacon. They might like it.

The fact that they don't want to publicly express their dissatisfaction may indicate that there isn't that big of a problem. Submitting medical information to a medical committee in order to get a racing license isn't a burdensome or unreasonable requirement. If someone doesn't want to submit the information, just don't submit it and don't race with PCA. No one has a 'right' or 'need' to race with PCA, and no one gets to tell the medical committee what information they can request.
