The PCA president is the person who advised me, when we spoke in person two weeks ago at LRP, that I would have an answer by last Saturday. He did not keep his word.

I sent an email today stating that I want this matter to be over and that if I do not receive an answer by this coming Saturday than I will consider that to be PCA's reply. If PCA can change the 13/13 rule in one week they certainly don't need a month to consider a sleep study.

PCA is doing damage to its reputation by keeping this fight alive and losing whatever argument it could make that it dealt with me in good faith. They are showing the racing community that this just isn't the case.

On a brighter note, I just surpassed 40 pounds lost in the last ten months. I was just a few pounds shy of this goal for a few weeks but finally shed the remaining 2.5 pounds and then some. I'm going to try for another 10 pounds and see where it goes from there. I have a suit which I have not worn in 20 years and that is now my goal!

Can’t believe you’re still supporting PCA. There are other organizations to race with.

I see a distinction between PCA and PCA leadership. I support PCA and my friends.

I already race with many other series so if PCA doesn't want me back, or I get tired or waiting, than that will be the end of ten years of great racing with them. Life will go on.

Congrats on the weight loss! If nothing else, a healthier Luigi comes out of this and that makes it worthwhile. But PCA letting you race would be a nice addition.

This is all really good news. I've been able to drop 30 pounds in ten months and it's just like driving! Takes a bunch of work, discipline and improvement is achieved not uniformly, but through plateaus.

Love wearing my older suits though...

Thanks! I had a race suit that I bought but never wore because it was too tight. Fits very nice now!

Did PCA kick you out as well? LOL

Good on you that you found the motivation within yourself to make this change. I started off slowly before this mess started but knowing this was supposedly my only way back in really supercharged my motivation. Sort of like a women who loses weight after getting divorced. Spite and revenge are powerful motivators!

Congrats on the weight loss! Losing that kind of weight takes serious effort and discipline.

I’d have to imagine PCA will come through on this, even if the time frame is out of whack.

Thank you! I am actually eating more like people did in the 1970s by cutting out processed foods, seed oils, unsaturated fats, and all the unhealthy science experiments they have convinced us are food.

I have eggs cooked in butter almost every morning for breakfast with a big bowl of berries. Sometimes I have a 3 ounce steak with it. All bread is bought from a local bakery - not that science experiment stuff you get in the supermarket. Dinner is always meat, poultry or fish with a bunch of vegetables. I'm not hungry at all, and when I am, I just eat some fruit or nuts. The ones that I miss the most were cutting back almost completely on alcohol and sugar/snacks. Fruits and vegetables as snacks have replaced cookies and candy.

I'm hoping PCA comes through eventually but the delay is obviously a punishment at this point. If they can get rid of the 13/13 rule in one week I am sure they can figure out the sleep report I gave them four weeks ago. With every day which passes I think it reflects poorly on the leadership of PCA.

They are obviously being vindicative and forgetting that this kind of attitude, from the very start, is the reason why it got adversarial. You can't treat someone with disregard and disrespect and not expect them to get upset.

I think they drank alcohol in the 70's?
LOL. Congrats on the lifestyle change. Wife and I are kinda going that path, except the giving up alcohol. Love good wine, beer and vodka (and tequila, can't forget the tequila). But we've certainly cut back, especially on the beer part. Never was a sweet snacker so that's not an issue. We'll see how it works out.
Heck, and I haven't even had my license suspended!! ...... yet....
