In Hamilton's defense, its hard to stay grounded when you have won seven WDC. I'm a pretty big A-hole and I've only won a single PCA championship. Could you imagine me if I was in F1 winning races? Holy cow, I'd be even more insufferable, if you can believe that.
I'd still dress like a dude, but I would be insufferable.

That was a different time when an underfunded privateer could win gps helping get their racecar off open trailers. Amateurs today are showing up with 53ft. Semis and 5 crew guys while drivers wait their turn to race in the air conditioned coach while hired coaches sift their data.

Hamilton lost his focus on his main purpose which is to drive a F1 car … he’s got too many other distractions outside of racing , much like Vettel with his desire to save the bees or the planet , or whatever his goal is … contrary to Fernando who at 42 still puts driving all out as his main focus !
As far as Hamilton’s wardrobe goes , it is truly laughable and if some soft hearts are offended by the comments on this forum , like someone previously posted they should perhaps move on to a more “politically correct “ forum !
Just sayin …
Cheers

Gotta say...
The disagreement here does get pretty heated.
But there is that saying about heat and the kitchen.
I'm actually a big Hamilton fan. But that doesn't stop me from thinking his fashion sense is sh*t.
And I can't think of any reason we shouldn't be allowed to comment on it.
He's one of the bigger faces of F1, and making some very bold fashion statements.
Some people may agree with those 'statements', and should be free to voice their opinions here as well.

Stop with the psychoanalyzing even if you are a psychiatrist. The community does a large amount of self-regulating using peer pressure. You, being staff, would do well to let the group self-regulate until self-regulation has failed. I submit that you have unnecessarily jumped into this thread. The group was doing fine on its own. Only one person needed regulating and that was the person you jumped in to support. Nothing inappropriate was posted and that person got offended for no reason. You made it worse and did so multiple times....

Let’s get back to the action on the track.
Big weekend as the circus returns to China, a venue they haven’t been to since pre-Covid. Ita also a sprint weekend so besides the teams having no data to rely on, they won’t have but 1 practice session to set up their cars.
Banked corner leading to a long straight who will the lack of data and knowledge favor?

Read a report on Horner talking about Ricciardo and said he just needs one good race to get back to his old form. The problem is that he doesn't appear to have that one good race in him. If Ricciardo was not such a good person for marketing he would have been gone already, and in truth, I think he has about 2 - 3 races left before he is shown the door.

I heard that they are going to use some of those "weather balloons" to provide overhead video coverage of the race.

Also, that picture of Hunt and Lauda is one of my favourites - just watched Rush again the other night. I think I could watch the ending again and again when they're showing the real footage. And especially that last image of Niki... wish he was still around as he and I are about the same age!
