Actually....
And I know personally of two people that claimed a legit incident to insurance while driving home from a trackday and insurance denied their claims because they were at the track. (one hit a deer with minor damage and drove home, and one had an engine fire on the way home).

Dear Clueless:
It DID happen to me. A $27,000 PDK replacement that PCNA tried to weasel out of covering because they said the car was driven on track and therefore voided the warranty. I cajoled, threatened, negotiated and this was the resolution after FOUR months of not having my car:
PCNA supplied parts.
Dealer covered labor.
The balance of my warranty was rendered void.
Had car repaired and traded it in on my Turbo S.
Happy now???
(By the way, the threats worked best.)

How did they know the car was in autocross? Did you tell them? How much of the warranty did they cut off (a year or more)? Did they claim the car was 'abused' or 'misused'? Had you tracked the car? What mods were on the car? Suspension, tune, slicks? Was the car 100% OEM? Had you had any other warranty claims?

So in this case warranty 'worked' - you paid no parts and no labor.

In a car forum? Not so much.
