I don't think they are running away anytime soon. I think for the time being, it's easier to sell one than buy one. And lot of people hoping they get whacked for a better entry point. I think for that to happen it's going to take a lot of assets/collectibles to get whacked even harder. Which just might happen. Clearly we have gobs of global macro uncertainty. But any meaningful CGT weakness is likely going to come from material weakness around it. Its own fundamentals, on their own, are pretty strong.

not all cars are equal just based on mileage
I have seen close to 30 cars in person.
25 I passed and price was not an issue.
the one's I got, I have eery piece of work including shipping doc from port to dealer, talked, lunch and met the owner (both one owner cars). all luggage, literally EVERYTHING. one car even had more luggage what came with most CGT hahaha... service to insane level driven or not. talked in person with the tech that work on the cars since day one.... that is worth some peace of mind for me.
but some do not care, which is fine too.
but there aren't many "good" deals on there. friend did end up with one. but he just threw the dice and got lucky.

Agree searched one owner - everything incl. dealer license frame the orig sticker in plastic coating and same salesman who sold the car originally.
Fast forward it's near impossible to find a no story add dealerships sticky fingers and truth is secondary all which can cause a lot of brain damage.

I probably would have bought the car if it had the dark grey/black interior...it hurts my eyes looking at the Terracotta interior. haha

If you passed on the car, PM me the info. I LOVE driven cars!

Realistically 675K is almost unobtainable on a "good" car now. 2 yrs ago, I passed on a 1500 mile 2004 car very similar b/c I couldn't get the car transported to get a PPI done. It was a "now or I have someone else to buy" scenario.
I'd NEVER buy a car like a CGT without a PPI. I had one that I was going to buy and it had way too many negatives that the PPI revealed.

Driven CGT - some sit for a decade then receive a refresh then repeat.
I don't understand why the CGT condition mechanically means anything other than the cost to bring it back. At some point there will be an original one owner that will break the 1M ceiling and the CGT market will never look back.
The question is not when to buy one it's more when you can - it's the one car regardless of condition or economy has increased.
Aston Martin Mercedes Gordon Murray attempting to do what the Porsche did years ago and they suck at it - 3m if and when they show up.
How many comfortable roadster F1 street legal cars with factory parts and techs easy to obtain -

Interesting conversation - person mentioned in a written document by Porsche in the lawsuit.
10% of CGT's were not crashed but totaled before production ended.
That document could have been early on when a few hundred were made.

It's a rarity thing for a few - 05 Ford GT is one.
Not every yellow is created equal very few IMO get it right.

Merit has a Carrara white CGT which has been repainted but is one of the most surprisingly stunning cars I've ever seen in person. worth whatever they are asking.
