At first I WANTED a carbon shifter. The wood seemed oddball despite the historical linkage. I ended up buying one with wood and I'll have to admit: it's one of the many quirks unique to a CGT that I now totally love. It's JUST a shifter but to me defines the whole "space-ship looks and technology (at the time) juxtaposed with old-school analogue driving experience". The wood shifter is so-CGT.

Wow. That car just posted on Rennlist marketplace says sold already. I thought it was low'ish ask... What other options are there in the low to mid 7's anyway?

I have and love the carbon shifter and steering wheel; love both but am buying a wood one to go with the car.
I spoke with the dealer and not only did they replace the clutch but they did a full engine out service hence why it sold so fast. Had I bought it, I still would have done a thorough PPI. I think there are folks who are buying these cars without a full PPI which I could never do.

From what I have learned - there are engine out services and then there are engine out services done by Jimmy Repasi...

Martin, you missed your 1-week dip in CGT prices at beginning of Covid.

Hey, I thought they'd soften substantially as well.

That makes two of us. I thought we would be looking at a 15-20% dip.

It's fine, real estate was on fire and I did about 20% more business in 2020 than I did in 2019 even with not doing much for 6 weeks from Mid-March to the end of April. Plus I used the cash that I had for the CGT to buy a few clients' homes for cash to make them non-contingent which enabled them to buy their move-up home. I'll get the right CGT when it's meant to be. In the meanwhile, I have my PDK GT4 coming.

^^^Even better. And your story with RE is yet another for why they didn't soften. Most of us are doing much better than we assumed we would be at this time. So it's a win win. The scenario that would have caused CGT to plunge 15-20% we,d all have lost way more in other parts of life.

It's still a random wrecking ball for certain industries and people. 2020 is one for the history books for sure. Here's hoping for a boring couple of years!

Yeah, it was a crazy year for sure...market starts out strong and then freezes for about 6 weeks before picking up as interest rates fall and continuing to strengthen to where we are now. Some of my buyers are dealing with 10-20 competing offers on homes that they like. A lack of inventory and strong demand are causing FOMO for many lower end and middle market buyers. I like a more balanced market between buyers and sellers.

It's the digital printing press that the Fed turned on back in March.
