based on my recent info I would throw out something like
0-5k Miles : 800k+
5k-10k Miles: 750k
10k-20k Mi : 700k
30k: 650k
-$50k for each 10k mi above that but they are very rare ...
complete and recent service history and knowing what maintenance costs will be coming is a big variable and will swing 50k +/-

Like sechsgang alluded to, I know you know what you're talking about, but from what I'm seeing, the prices you listed would indicate a best case scenario... Colored car, 05, serviced, clutch, etc, with deductions from the prices listed for anything 'less than' ideal, i.e. Silver 04 with 10k miles that needs an engine out is far less than the $700k posted (never mind if it had closer to 20k miles)...
the rest is hearsay ..
agree these prices are just ballpark and would be for serviced cars ready to go; deduct 50k+ for non serviced and other stories ..

TBH the cars that are much less than that tend to be cars that are avoided for an assortment of reasons...hes pretty on when it comes to his plus or minus 50k mark. There are people/brokers scouring the market for these DAILY...if a car is sitting or unsold and you think you're the only one who knows about it, there's normally a reason, and you're far from the only one.

Well, I think we're essentially saying the same thing - the prices indicated are a "best case scenario" and I even said lower prices would indicate something is less than ideal, whether color, year, deferred service, etc, which can all compound and amount to a much lower price (and a car that might languish on the market). At the same time, I think to achieve the prices posted, everything needs to be goldilocks, i.e "just right" ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

you're looking at 740-750 there if it needs the FULL service with stats like that normally. At 725 you're already at a damn good deal and If you can buy that car for 675 you'd be in a MAJOR deal territory!

'Quant's posted range showed 0-5k miles @ $800+, which to me indicates that a car with 2,000 miles would be well into the "+".
If you look back at the ranges indicated in his post, $725 is squarely in 10k mile territory, which I feel is only achievable for a 10k mile car in an absolute goldilocks scenario, where everything is "just right" - year, color, service, history, etc.
FWIW, I agree with sechgang's assessment on the proper price for the car you described... It's just that doesn't jive with the original pricing chart and all I've been trying to say is that the prices listed are a best case scenario; anything less will be, well, less...
At the end of the day, these aren't widgets and each car will have to be evaluated individually.

I was taking the 800K estimate then subtracting. Maybe not a "perfect car"(always something), color is most common produced, engine out service still needed to be performed, also missing luggage set. If your not taking color as a deduction and instead adding for color variance other than silver, then 750K range is possible? Realistically 675K is almost unobtainable on a "good" car now. 2 yrs ago, I passed on a 1500 mile 2004 car very similar b/c I couldn't get the car transported to get a PPI done. It was a "now or I have someone else to buy" scenario.

Other recent participants in this thread would probably tell you that $675 will still get you a very good car.
