First year I just put 997 gt2 engine in the in stock 997 cup with scoops on fenders, drove like mad man 10 times on short notise , like every week or weekend

Year 2 did finish the RSR body and all coolings but did not wanted to cut fenders for ic so I did run hoses to ic, didn't work so we loost a lot of power also upgraded to öhlins 3 ways shocks for 996 gt3, didnt work out okey at My rideheigt, did hit bumpstopp and strugle with understeer also drove to little like 4 events all year

This year more rsr parts in the chassie and new ttx 46 öhlins shocks that are set up right for My rideheigt car is Working okey now power is back, im not done with the basic set up yet so i strugle little with front tire temp yet, i hope soon to be right here.. To little drivning tjis year also.. Car is alot faster then im à driver so it takes it time to geting in the grove

I like it! What's the motor displacement? Turbo make and size? IC's, what kind? How does the Hollinger box hold the torque? Is it faster than a 7 Cup on the same circuit? A lot faster? Is traction an issue? Are you running 997 RSR rubber 27's and 31's? What's it weigh (with the carbon brakes)? Looks like a lot of potential and a LOT of fun!

3,6 liters
stock 997 gt2 engien with small tuning running 650hp
Hollinger is holding up fine,
Car is faster then a 997 cup but not in my hands yet, I'm always running used rubbers also
Tractions is not a big issue it works okey
Yes 997 2011 RSR spec tires, 30/650 and 31/710
Not running PCCB right now so car is weighting in at 2600lbs no fuel(empty)

We put a 996 turbo engine in a 2000 GT3R several years ago. We never had a chance to really sort out the car before the owner changed his plans but the car was very light on the front axle due to all the extra weight from the turbo engine. The front never felt planted like it should. No front grip is like a catch 22. Uncomfortable to push hard enough to get any heat in the tires so never get any grip from the front. All most have to overdrive the car some to force the tires to come up to temp. I am surprised to hear you are bottoming out the front suspension. What is the ride height?

My car is only 80 lbs more in the rear then a 2007 cup that weights 2530 lbs and the 2009 and cup cars that have extra mufflers in the sides are 2600 so no differensen here at all.. So Thats not the problem think

Im runing 7 mm heigher rideheight in front fr.o.m. 2007 RSR, so 67 mm fr.o.m. The floor to ground, but shocks only have 37 mm travel before hitting bumpstop in this ride hight , This is not right and if they com from a 997 rsr as they should they must have been running way higher or way harder so they wouldn't bottom out

Any idea what your front to rear weight distribution is? Just curious. What spring rates?
