Anyone know the security code for steering sensor calibration? I haven't seen this requested anywhere else in PIWIS
Read through repair group 45 for 997 didn't see a security code.

USB port is very delicate meaning you can dislodge it easily, use WiFi instead (ask me why I know...)

I've been able to have a successful coding kinda day with my PIWIS III clone (Belauto). Able to make some upgrades. Very awesome...however, I am still unable to turn off oil change warning. the "head unit" I bought from him requires back dating to 2020, which isn't working with the time minder. If I change the date on laptop after connection to car, PIWIS drops connection!
Any work around for this? I have a lot invested in this setup, hate to have to purchase something else to reset oil life!

On your laptop, once booted up, you change the system date to 2020, then connect to the car. Don’t connect to the car and change the date. It won’t work.

Regarding oil maintenance, I recall that it asks you 3 things. When the oil was changed, when will be the next schedule date, and the dealer who did the oil change. Date format is DD.MM.YYYY, I have done this twice, once to delay the reminder, and the second time was to actual oil change.

Once I connect to the car with date set to 2020 and the auto-detect sees my car, I turn the date back to current without issues-

For those of you who have the Launch x431, it's a whole lot easier and straight forward FWIW

connect piwis to the car, the ecu list will open, then change the date in windows to the current one, reset the service interval, the next time you connect to the car, do not forget to return the date to 2020

I start up the CF-54. I change date to 12-31-20 and connect to car. PIWIS recognizes the car and opens main menu. I select diagnosis, etc and go to where I turn the service warning off. I then change the date on the computer to current and it drops connection. PIWIS still on but in tutorial mode.

I think you need to end your PIWIS session BEFORE you revert or change the date.

I run PIWIS III VM on a Mac. Set date to 2020, connect the cable and wait for automatic detection of the car. Connect, and go back to time and date and set the date to current. Continue to use PIWIS, VAL, Vehicle Handover, clear codes, etc
