See my post a few replies up for the issue I was having.

With regard to wired vs wireless, wired is always better.

My T6PT3G connection is more reliable over wifi than it is when wired.

As an "old guy", this is contrary to everything I've ever known, lol. Wireless should never be more reliable than a good old fashioned cable right?

Well depends on the wire of course, but true. As to the threads quoted one refers to the old VAS that was clunky and prone to errors not to mention very slow and irrelevant to a T6.

But if the OP is happy with e-net, great

Default Autocoding procedure?

Would someone mind listing the steps to use the “auto code” feature in PIWIS? I would like to get back to the stock coding on my car. Your help is appreciated.

Thanks,

I gave this a try, but it didn't do what I needed. Inititally, it bricked my car. The Gateway lost its programming and the car was no longer recognized by PIWIS. I was able to reprogram the Gateway.
Now I am basically back where I started.
I am missing some menu items from my instrument cluster.
I need to get back - Tires, and Chrono.
I would really like to restore the car to its original factory coding.
For now, I would just be happy getting the missing menus back.

Thanks,
Tom

Is there any way to verify if the piwis is installed correctly without having the obd2 adapter? I am still waiting on the adapter.

Yes. Just run it, it will tell you it can't determine year and model number but you should be ok in sim mode.
