What it outlines is what I suggested you do (in brief). IN3 is the option you need to select and then autocode all modules. You don't need to pull a VAL (but of course you can) simply go back and check the option you selected is now enabled once autocode has finished.

ok thanks I’ll give it a go later. I assume auto code is needed rather than just the specific modules? I always get nervous coding the whole car. Also do you know if this will work for start stop disable?

Kodierwert: Block07 Start_Stop" and change the value from "vorhanden" to "nicht vorhanden/Codierzelle nicht vorhanden." Hit the Write button on the bottom of the screen or hit F

I don't have a specific module for that code so select ALL and then autocode.

I've not gotten to permanently disable ***. Try it if it works report back.

Ok, so *** coding worked 100%, button immediately disappeared.

power steering plus appeared to code and steering is a tiny bit lighter below 10mph, not massively noticeable but a small gain which can only be beneficial at parking speeds.

PSE also working and sounds surprisingly good even without the full sport exhaust. But I have a permanent error for open circuit for the valve which hasn’t been installed with the full PSE.

Only thing I can’t seem to work is level calibration, as it’s sitting a little high when parked. My efforts with entering what I thought were correct didn’t seem to do anything. Will have to try that another day.

thanks for everyone’s help, I’m pretty much there with what I wanted to code

DME Block07 start stop
credit to @djdonte for mentioning that above. I’ve seen various ways to do it but this worked. Maybe start stop memory would have been useful but I’m happy enough to disable it completely

These are the 5 ECUs (in a Macan) where *** is stored/disabled. Easiest is to select "Last Mode" in the VO data and then simply select and autocode them all.
The memory for "Last Mode" status sits in the aircon unit, btw.
"Last Mode" simply remembers last state, so you can (de-)activate *** if you like using the switch, just in case, e.g. when going to the stealer for maintenance etc.

ECUs:
- Klimaanlage (Aircon)
- Gateway
- BCM Front
- PSM
- Servolenkung (Power Steering)

I looked for those, couldn't find them, but deactivating it in DME worked fine, although it's deactivated instead of last memory. I'm sure there's a way for memory but I didn't see it. But I did see "Last Mode" in VO it think, so are you saying if I change that and then autocode the car then everything will be set as needed for last mode?

Also can anyone tell me the correct coding for DME Block07 Schnee_Gischtklappe? It's the option below the *** and I think I changed it by accident but not sure what the correct option is supposed to be

First it's for a Macan not a 992 and it depends on the year. Up to 2020 Macans there was a convenient switch on the console that allowed you to permanently disable *** this is no longer available going forward.

So if you got *** disabled via DME in a 992 (what year is yours?) the only issue you have is that you don't have an able/disable option; it's permanently off. As to VOF changes and autocode, if you need to reset it simply reset it in DME if you need to go to the dealer.

Thanks for letting me know what year your 992 is.

Thanks for clarifying, then it most likely won't apply to 992s. But will try it

Hello. Could you help me with PIWIS 3 problem. Ive done gateway automatic programing of my boxster s 987.2 pdk (see attachemnt). Now I have lots of faults and errors. I tried reseting, vehicle handover - doesnt help. PIWIS 3 38.400.
What Can I do now? Is it any option to restore prior software or to program it corectly?
Thank you for any help.
UPDATE: Ive checked in VAL, previously I had GATEWAY software 99761010812. It seems I downgrade it?

Reviewing my notes of earlier efforts to defeat ***, it doesn't work on 992s
