I wonder if you could bolt in 997 or 991 buckets into this and retain side air bags?

For me the seats are crap for performance driving otherwise I'd be adding this for DD and parking cayenne for Tahoe trips

Still its a fun car and easy DD with all the things you need at a good price point. Whats not to like?
Are we driving the same car?? I DD an M2 as well, and you floor it, then wait for turbo to spool, THEN you get the acceleration!

It's particularly bad between shifts where it takes a split second for the turbo to re-spool.

Some of the worst turbo lag I've felt, honestly. And I've owned a TT RS (2.5 T) and an STi (2.5 T).

What gear are you driving in? I typically hate turbo cars and I have no issue with lag

The racer has a little bit of turbo lag but since it's got so much low end torque it's not terrible to deal with.

No question the response is not as sharp as NA especially Porsche NA but the torque curve helps a lot. Anyway at low revs where there might be some delay an NA engine is going to have little torque so driven the same way will be slow off the mark too.

Default GT3 change?

Given 3 GT3's in a row, might be time to try something different. I may consider moving from my 2015 GT3 with only 7k miles. I'm sure I'll come back later. M2 might be a consideration given the feedback here.

haha now that is a big call. Its a different type of car. Used as a DD 95% of the time it is entertaining and practical - 5% of the time it won't be as good on a back road blast. Then on track it can never be as good, just can't be with power to weight etc.

Most don't use gt3 for DD so therein lies the contrast

I wouldn't call the acceleration linear, but I certainly don't feel like this is the case for me with the DCT model. I find it more than peppy enough for street duty and very capable on the track.

Mech33- Are you driving in sport plus mode all the time? The other driving modes are useless.....

Here is ours we absolutely love the car and is a great compliment to our 991 RS as it's a great daily driver and an experience to drive.

What at about the M2 sound inside the cabin?

Still have M2 incoming. In the mean time picked up an 17 M3 today. I'll decide between the 2.

The M2 is actually quite good with a reasonably linear feel. Is it as linear as NA nope. But this is the best of breed for a sporty 2 door turbo. I'll stand by that.

Could you be triggering traction control? I've found the car to be quite lively. It has enough torque to break traction if you floor it from a cold stop.
