You would enjoy more If these were dumbed down to alphanumeric acronyms?.. An AR 3-series?

No, no you wouldn't. you'd rather flip up your collar, slick back your hair, put on your sunglasses while lighting a smoke and butcher the name, hoping some of the Italian rubs off on you and that the pretty young thing in the restaurant checks you out as you pull up. Let's not kid ourselves, it's all about sex. I mean everything, every ******* thing we do, in its most primal Raison d'etre, is for sex.

Buying an Italian car with a complex multi syllabic name is just you purchasing a short-cut to sex.

Relish the sounds... Geeooleeuh cooaahtroportah...

Mouth sex see?

as Satco would say (I'll see myself out now)
No need to see yourself out Alex, Italians understand. as I drink my wine.

I want to want this car, but the interior is too bland for my taste. To be honest, so is the exterior.

I'm guessing it will not be cheap. $85-90k
If you want ceramics and carbon buckets I bet more.
I priced out an M3 with full leather and ceramics and was around $90k. Damn, cars are expensive nowadays.

Does the rear of the car have 2 or 3 seat belts? I'm guessing 2.

In the UK the base Giulia QV is priced 3k gbp Les than M4 with DCT and competition pack (before further options) and 8k gbp less than base c63 S AMG coupe. In Europe price is 79k Euro and 59k GBP.

Rumour has it base Giulia QV in USA will be 80-85k USD so 90-95k fully loaded with sparco CF seats and PCCB...I think they want to win in the US market

For reference, in the US a base M3 is $60,800 (~$70k with DCT and Competition Package and Extended Leather) with Euro Delivery and a C63 S Sedan is $74k (Only ED on Coupe, since Sedan is built in Alabama - no ED discount). Don't see how they can succeed by starting so much more than the established competition in the US. According to UK pricing of relative models, it should start about $65k to $70k USD, no?

With Porsches, we pay fewer US Dollars than Germans pay Euros (despite currency conversion), for example.

Wow! That must be the cheapest market in the world for a BMW.

In our market base M3 with DSC is 114K USD! It comes with most options as standard. No import duties but includes 15% tax.

Below are the prices of BMW M3 in UK as base. As you can see the 59k GBP for the Alfa Giulia GV puts it slightly under the M3 with Competition Pack and DCT.

Given the distortion of low BMW prices in USA I think the Giulia will certainly be more than the M3 Comp DCT at 70K with DCT.

What a shame. I cant see the Giulia being a sales success in the UK if it is 80K. I hope Im wrong.

Im excited there is something quite different available. i see so many m3/4 they become boring. Ive driven the M3 (early launch car in 2014) and found it dynamically challenged. The Giulia to me is not only more pretty, but it is more exotic, more "individual", far scarcer and although I haven't driven it I suspect it is better dynamically but also possesses character something I believe is missing from many cars today.

Grant, not sure if you missed my GT4 review. As an owner of a high revving 911 (hotrod) would love to have your feedback on it posted on that thread as you have had the benefit of seat time in both...

I certainly did read your impressions and really liked your review. While I have plenty of experience in a GT4 now, I have none in a 991 GT3. So, I didn't think I could really add anything relevant to the comparison conversation (my 911 being 44 years old). But doesn't mean I didn't thoroughly enjoy it

I hope to have some 991.2 GT3 drivng experience in about a year

Sexy Italian design.... and a Ferrari-derived beast within.
