GT350
Neither have I and i'm on my 5th American sports car.
(Not saying German standards aren't better for fit and finish - i'm sure they don't have the lazy Unions protecting them) but that car posted up there should of never left the factory.

I was looking at a brand new BMW SUV - the entire car had huge gaps everywhere. Cars are not carved out of stone, it would be nice to have perfection everywhere but I don't think it's realistic. Overall these Shelby's look fantastic and the driving experience is unmatched.

Nothing mediocre about a GT350 - that's why all the gearheads in Munich and Stuttgart are livid this car isn't being exported by Ford - 3rd party purchase is the only option (100,000 Euro). They can only wish that the M series BMW's could produce something as raw and brutal as what the Americans are producing today.
I did own a BMW M3 once that had a hood with a gap similar to the one in your picture (which the dealer rectified). So it can happen I guess with any manufacturer. Still, it's disappointing to see.
My E9x M3 had misaligned body panels everywhere straight from the factory. Lots of other E9x owners that had the same issues.
Don't crucify Ford over this as it doesn't represent all their cars.

The one thing that I haven't heard talked about much is how nice the Tremec tranny is in the R's. I took mine to get 3M this morning and it's unbelievably surprising how confident and tough that sucker feels. Serious pain in th a** to put in reverse but that's so people like me don't put it in reverse on the track while doing 50mph...
My dealer is very happy to help with the body gaps. Going in on Monday to get it done.
@Etrain the transmission is great. very positive and short/close throws. I feel like I know where I am even with little seat time. With the 991 I didn't always feel like I knew which gear I was moving into. The clutch is quite light with a definitive friction zone. Throttle response on rev-matching is good, just have to sink the foot a bit deeper than on the 991.
Seat is getting more comfortable.
Took me a while to figure out the recline button in the middle of the seat back.

OT: Had a beautiful Audi R8 follow me up on a highway and once traffic was clear we both got on it and it was a pure sound fest. I think he had an expensive exhaust on his V8 as it was as loud as mine - sounded incredible - and they look just awesome. He loved the GT350. I know it's slower than all our Porsches and these Shelby's but seeing one today in motion pretty much confirmed the R8 needs to be in my garage also.
