Default 2017 Macan Turbo PP

Hi.
How rare or special is this model? I know around 300 where made for US from 2017 to 2018. But what else?

The one I found. Pristine conditions.

Looks nice. Caveat emptor the EA837 3.6TT engine. Oil leaks, broken bolts inside the engine. Read about it.

It doesn't matter how fastidious the previous owner was. The engine in that car is a ticking time bomb and no amount of previous maintenance can fix it. I wouldn't go near it.

Proof? And yes. I know about the long thread about bolts in the oil pan for one individual. And many of us have had the typical TCC leak. Mine was found by me between 25k and 30k miles since I'm one of those **** people that changes their oil/filter every 5k.

Please provide something to support your claim. Thanks in advance...

MY2017 Turbo use the M4635 not EA837, in fact EA837 was never used in the Macan line up, you're thinking about EA839.

Caveat emptor this engine, the 2017 Macan Turbo 3.6TT 90-degree cold vee V6 EA837.

The EA837, I think is the Audi 3.0l
M4635 is the 3.6 TT.

No. The EA837 is the 90-degree cold vee 3.0/3.6L V6 used by Porsche in the Macan, Panamera and Cayenne.

This engine, in this car:

I don't know where you get the source that says there's an EA837 in any Macan, the location of the oil filter alone should tell you that it's not from the EA family.

EA837 in that article same as the ebay salvage engine photos above. We agree.

There is no resemblence between EA837 and EA839, except for 90-degree vee and 6 cylinders.

Neither the EA888 (4 cylinder) nor EA824 (V8) nor EA825 (V8). It's just a VAG naming convention.
