Outstanding Upgrade for Porsche Macan S 2022: Apple CarPlay Installation
I recently had the pleasure of having Apple CarPlay installed in my Porsche Macan S 2022 by Raymond. I must say, the experience has been nothing short of exceptional. Apple CarPlay now appears full screen wirelessly, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone looking to enhance their driving experience and safety. The resolution has increased exponentially, offering a remarkably clear and enlarged view.
I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Raymond, who was incredibly helpful, fast, and patient throughout the process, despite the time zone difference as I reside in Italy. His expertise and dedication made the installation smooth and hassle-free.
I cannot stress enough how highly I recommend this upgrade. Apple CarPlay brings an indispensable level of comfort that you should not hesitate to embrace. With its wireless functionality and enhanced visuals, it has truly transformed my driving experience. Don't miss out on this extraordinary enhancement!
Picked up my 2021 Macan last week, found this forum and innovativesoft for Android Auto install. Went flawlessly and looks amazing. Great company to work with.
I just got a new to me 2017 Macan gts and 1st mod was to get android auto which is a game changer on the infotainment . Purchased the activation software from innovativessoftnz and got prompt customer service and an update file quickly delivered within 45 mins . Unfortunately I had issues after installing the update and android auto was a no go, next day innovativessoftnz got back with me to do a remote login to troubleshoot my issues and ended up doing a full PCM firmware update and got Android Auto up and running. Great customer service and I can highly recommend this company if anyone is on the fence about using this service
I purchased the full carplay and android auto from Raymond. The Carplay full screen works great. The android auto works for a period of time and then stops working with my Pixel 6 unless I do a factory reset of the infotainment system. It seems to coincide with my wife using her phone with Carplay and then the next time I drive the car, AA doesn't want to work. I'm not sure I can duplicate it every time though.
Raymond said it's a Porsche issue but I don't see anyone else having this issue? He offered a refund for the AA portion but I'd really like to hear if others experienced this and got past this or not (perhaps a setting on the phone or other solution?).
as I said it is phone side keeps reverting back to different mode , just need to change the phone mode to midi in developer mode while usb is connected. It essentially on pixel phones. If you toggle between different mode while usb is plugged in it will get it back again, don’t really need to reset pcm.
I can send you the instructions how to do it , very easy

Finally got solution for skip track button issue in CarPlay and android auto
We understand that there has been a persistent, pesky issue bothering you while enjoying your favorite music on the go. The infamous diamond button on the steering wheel, while programmable for skipping tracks, oddly only works for Bluetooth and radio station modes. However, when using CarPlay or Android Auto, this function goes off the radar. Frustrating, isn't it? You're cruising down the highway, your favorite playlist humming in the background, you're deeply immersed in the navigation map, and suddenly, a song you don't fancy comes up. To skip it, you'd have to switch from the map view to main menu and then switch to music view—a disruption you could do without. Indeed,
Porsche addressed this bug in their 2022 and later models by adding an extra skip button on the steering wheel. But what about Macan owners with pre-2022 models?
Macan owners with models from 2018 to 2021 can now have this installed to let the diamond button shine in all its glory. The days of unnecessarily switching views on your screen are over. With our retrofit module, you can freely navigate your tracks while staying on your map view. Enjoy the harmony of navigation and music control without interruption, exactly how Porsche intended it. Embrace this efficient solution to an irksome problem.
You might be concerned about assigning additional functions to the diamond button, like camera view, and worry that using it for the next track feature might interfere with these functions. Rest assured, this is not an issue, as we've included a quick activation trigger that allows the diamond button to alternate between your custom features and the skip track function. This means that there's no need for you to constantly switch between camera view and skip track - the system handles that seamlessly
Just stumbled on this thread: does this mean I can have AA on my 2019 Macan S without any hardware modifications, i.e. this is purely a software modification performed remotely?

Wanted to add me to the list of satisfied customers. I just purchased a 2020 Macan and knew before the purchase that it did not have Android Auto but reading these forums before my purchase I felt good knowing there was a workaround. I reached out via WhatsApp to innovativesoft and we setup a time this past weekend to install/enable Android Auto whole screen. He VPNd into my laptop and I connected to my car and plugged in a thumb drive and about an hour or so later whole wide screen AA and Car Play was working beautifully.
I prefer the whole wide screen view, looks much more polished than the smaller version. Although, I do sometimes with I could toggle back and forth from wide screen to full screen but not an issue just a thought. But overall, very happy with the service and installation.
For Android Auto, I had had previously tried one of those Carlinkit devices that mimic AA through CarPlay and it did not work at all for me. Kept crashing the in car screen.
Just had AA 'activated' on my Macan MY22 PCM 5 car this morning by Innovative Soft NZ. Works really well and almost as if it were factory original.
Saw another poster on here make comment re their Android phone but wife had Apple. I'm in the same situation and there is a fix for this that Raymond flagged to me. If you plug iPhone in, the car reverts back to Apple CarPlay. No problem. To get the Android Auto back on the screen, plug in your (Android) phone, go to the home screen Notification on the phone re USB preference and select Midi. This will bring Android Auto back onto the car screen. No need to hard reset anything. This only is required if an iPhone has been used since your last AA session. If only using AA, you won't need this. I agree that this makes it slightly less seemless than a OEM Android Auto install but I think this is a really small price to pay for the otherwise excellent functionality of full screen AA on a PCM5 system.
Thank you Raymond (Innovative Soft NZ) . V happy I have my TomTom with traffic and speed camera alerts back! Raymond guides you through what kit other than the laptop you need to have beforehand (2x USB to Ethernet dongles and a memory stick - circa £20) and we were finished in 30mins. As a precaution, I used my CTEK MXS 7 charger on 12v mode so that the car battery was fully supported during the update as you have the car on ACC ignition on for the full process. Perhaps not necessary as it was only 30mins and you could take the car for a 20min drive with Start/Stop disabled beforehand instead.
No offence to Raymond but all of this makes you wonder why Porsche can't just do this for their customers.......probably want you to buy a Taycan which has PCM6 and AA on board.....Anyway, happy days in my Macan now! Cheers.....
