After reading this thread, I just had help from innovativesoftnz to install android auto on my brand new 2024 Macan GTS (how do these cars come without it at this price tag?!). When I ordered the car i specifically asked if it had AA, and they told me yes, wireless. My salesguy had only been in the job for a week at the time so I'll give him an excuse on that.

I had to wait a few days for an ethernet dongle to arrive but considering the only computer I have with an ethernet port is a dinosaur, it was a smooth process. They were available very quickly too.
Can't recommend innovativesoftnz enough.

I went with the full screen option.

Porsche Delaware blurb shows that it comes standard with Carplay and AA. Further research says the 2023 came that way as well. Hmmmm.

Not for PCM5 and Macan , you have to do more research to find out what system is on Macan

all PCM6 come with 2023 cayenne, Panamera , 992 , Taycan , but not Macan

So please do more research and hopefully don’t confuse other Macan owners on forum.

please can say whatever they like without any responsibilities, so hopefully you want to verify that as well by doing more research

So I seem to have an issue with the turn by turn completely muting the music every time it speaks which i have never had in any other car using AA.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? I am able to change the volume of the voice and music independently but it doesn't make any difference.

How did you manage to do this? My husband connected his carplay over the weekend now i cant get android auto to connect again.
I've sent a whatsapp to the innovativesoftnz guys but they have not seen or replied yet. Their responses were almost immediate when I was installing this so I'm a little surprised.

I tried to message again since I need to drive somewhere in 20 minutes and need the google maps. My messages are no longer going through so it seems they blocked me.
I paid $600 for the full screen option and now I can't use it at all.

I'd suggest not buying this from innovative soft right now. What a waste of money.

THat used to happen to me but now it stopped (ie I can hear soft music). Not sure what changed.

In every other car I've owned or driven it mutes the music slightly but not completely and if i have the navigation audio turned down i can still hear the music louder and the navigation is just loud enough for me to hear it without disturbing my music. I'm not sure why this car is different.

Someone online said it sounds like the APK was not installed correctly. I've uninstalled and reinstalled android auto on my phone and it still does it.

My husband was using carplay last weekend and it did the same thing, whereas in his car it doesn't do that on his or my phone, so I'm wondering whether it is the car or the install. I wish i had tested it on his phone before I had AA installed.
I have a friend with a macan without AA so I may ask him to test it on his. If his works fine then it might be the AA install.

I had innovativesoftnz.com install android auto on my 2024 Macan S. He also helped me out with a wireless adapter. Process was pretty straightforward and I'm not the most tech savy person. If you can follow directions he will walk you thru everything and have you set up in no time.
