Nope
I spoke to the Porsche specialist at my dealer about this yesterday and he said with the 2019 upgrade Porsche decided that's it for the Macan so he doubts they will ever update the PCM for android auto. Considering how easy it is for it to be updated (those of us who've done it via ISNZ have seen it) this blows my mind.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy I could get it for a price, but considering we have both apple and android phones it is a huge pain in the *** to get AA to run after my husband has used carplay. I'm sure it would be very easy for them to just make it standard.

Sorry to hear you hear having issues. I continually plug and unplug mine and have never had an issue. Once in a while I do lose connection but that may be caused by the Internet Service not the unit.
Have you reached out to the Company? Or gone though these steps: https://www.aawireless.io/support
Hope this helps.

I too had Raymond enable AA on my 2020 base. It works great until occasionally something causes it to glitch, like my wife's Apple car play, or the order in which I switch from AA back to the Porsche system. The fix is to reset the head unit to factory, and by reset I do not mean using your two fingers to reboot, just reset under the system options. This does not remove the AA install. The only downside is the you have to re-customize your home screen when it comes back up. Oh, and I once had to re-establish Sirius XM. Give this a try.

What did your husband do besides unplugging it? Did he select "Do not ask again" when it asked to whether use the phone with Android Auto/CarPlay or USB?
Are both your phones connected to the AAWireless dongle or just yours? Remember that it defaults to the last selected one.

I just got my setup done last night and got the AA Wireless dongle installed this morning after Amazon delivered it next day.

@innovativesoft was very helpful and the installation was fairly simple (but I work in IT, so I am used to ZIP files and USB sticks) and the Whatsapp customer support was great. Installing the AA Wireless dongle took a bit more time, mainly because I first tried it with my Samsung Note 9 that did not see the dongle. Once I switched to my S22 Ultra, it worked like a charm to set up.

I have not yet used it on a drive, so I reserve judgment on how reliable the connection will be. But I am definitely looking forward to use Waze and my PodCast app through the head unit .

I just had my Android Auto/CarPlay purchase completed and installed by innovativesoftnz.com and it's awesome! Android Auto loads quickly, no lag or issues at all. I have it setup for wireless and it's working great. Car starts, AA connects wireless and automatically loads; I don't have to do anything. It works better than the stock versions in our Hyundai Palisade and Genesis g80. Really glad I jumped on this one!

After over a week of driving the car several times for 1+ hour drives using Waze and PodCast Addict, the software works great. No crashes or glitches so far and my wife is happy with it too. I am currently using it without the Wireless dongle though, since that did not reconnect to my phone the day after the initial install, and frankly I prefer to have the phones getting charged while using it in the car.

I, too, use the AA wireless dongle. It does occasionally drop the connection, not sure why, but then it reconnects automatically and I just hit the Icon on the screen again. By the way, the only odd thing about my install is that the icon used to invoke AA is still the Carplay icon. I have no idea what would happen if my wife ever wanted to connect her iPhone to the car, but she doesn't like to do that anyway.

I've sent a whatsapp to the innovativesoftnz guys but they have not seen or replied yet. Their responses were almost immediate when I was installing this so I'm a little surprised.
Sorry just saw this now. I actually stopped using android auto completely and just rely on my phone now. My fiancé drives the car when I work from home and she connects her IPhone to it which means I have to factory reset the PCM each time I want to use Android auto..so 3 times a week going to the office I had to factory reset and that got old fast.

The custom install does not support seamless switching between CarPlay and Android auto. I had the guy who installed it try it on a Macan that was newer than mine and they said they had to factory reset it after an IPhone would pair with it since CarPlay automatically comes up once you pair an iPhone. Wish there was a fix for this but not that I know of so far.

I had innovativessoftnz.com just do the Android Auto install on my 2023 Macan S. He was super friendly and informative and walked me through the process as he worked quickly and got it done right away. I'm super appreciative and I feel like it unlocked the part of my car that should have been there to begin with. I would definitely recommend.
