After a few drives, I am pleased that the box is stable and smooth. No glitches or issues so far. It connects automatically and does what it should do. The 2/3 screen size does not bother me, the resolution is very high and operationally, its fine.
Its a great option versus modifying code in the system and voiding the warranty. Should anything go wrong with the system, these are expensive, even for used replacements and new, they are extremely expensive. I'll do what I can to keep the warranty.

How is it not a warranty issue? If I came to the dealer with any infotainment related issue and they knew that I had gone through this process to modify the underlying code, I'll bet they use that as a denial reason every time. I'm not willing to gamble on that just yet.
Nothing against your service, but the purpose of this thread was to explore these easy boxes for Android Auto access. I think what you can do is amazing and I may be a future customer but I didn't intend to compare the two options.
I don't mind the smaller screen actually, it forces me to focus on what's important in a Porsche... the road and the driving experience. I only say this because I am easily distracted by big fancy screens.
Also, I actually like the side info from the native system that shows the song the radio is playing, if I see a song I like, I can switch to it very easily.
Thanks for your comments and I am appreciated your concern. That is fine if you still think that way but the fact are :
1. we don’t do coding at all! And we don’t change it in system. You may have your own understanding of how it works regardless how we developed based on restricted Porsche warranty policy.
2. we have the mod on application level which is like you download an app on your phone, this is fully invisible to any dealer’s diagnostic tool (tools are CAN bus based via obd which has no access to PCM application level at all except enabling code)
that is why i suggested you to read more about the other thread.
Of course if you disclose all modifications to dealer that you have done, then it will be the risk for claiming the warranty. However, if nothing can be detected and nothing effecting to the system, then what is the logic for you to disclose such info to dealer side ?
Everyone has their own needs, i do appreciated your concern, but hopefully those information can help you understand better about that whole process which is very safe and it has proven records by 100, 100 members over past year.
I am more than happy to explain more if you are interested, hopefully can let you feel more comfortable about it .
happy new year , hope we can serve you in the future once you feel more comfortable

When the phone is not present, does the screen show options for AppleCarPlay AND AndroidAuto ?
I don't want the dealer seeing Android Auto.
No, only the Carplay application is launched on the system, even when its running, it still recognizes the input as Carplay although the phone itself recognizes that its connected to an Android Auto device (which is the box and not the car).
nothing will show , when phone is not present
and still shows CarPlay even phone is persent
Porsche didn’t do really good job to make android auto icon in menu, it will still show CarPlay when you have androaid phone plugged in
it won’t show anything if you don’t have any phone connected.
Still full screen with side bars and native support faster and reliable
especially the new android auto coolwalk is officially released which looks awesome in full screen and whole screen mode .
With regard to the innovativesoft product, I just bought the file for my 2018 Macan and installed a few days ago. To answer your question: (as it works with my PCM) when the phone is connected to USB port PCM will recognize and ask if you want to launch Android Auto. Once done, the Android Auto screen displays and performs perfectly. If you would like to switch to "normal" (non AA) PCM screen, tap the Porsche icon on AA screen and you will see your default PCM option screen. To switch back to AA, hit the physical "home" button and then tap AA. Very seamless.
To respond to (valid) concerns about warranty, I have none. My vehicle was literally at the dealer today for routine service (purely coincidental timing). The car was interrogated by their computer and no comments or note was made.
I was concerned about paying for this but was assured by Raymond and previous posts from happy users.
If you do purchase, my process:
have a SD card in FAT32 format.
The file was sent as a Zip through Whatsapp. I used my desktop Whatsapp to un-compress files and move them to the SD card root directory (no folders).
Raymond sent pics on Whatsapp for step by step installing. The whole process took about 10 minutes.
He was responsive and helpful.
I finally can use AA and Waze in my Macan.

I'm not concerned with warranty issues on a routine service, its if there's an issue specifically with the infotainment unit and then further analysis is needed on that system. Maybe they will find something, maybe they won't, its not a risk I want to take, which is why I wanted to share my experience with the plug-in box. This wasn't meant to be another thread for the full-screen service, there are plenty of those, but not many about the inexpensive boxes. I haven't had a single connection issue so far and I am very happy with it.
you are right, should not post too much other full screen since that you are trying to give alternative option for it.
Enjoy the device, but for the warranty issue you should not worry if you understand how this software works. But anyway If that still can’t be trusted by you even from 100 ,100 users reviews and experiences on the forum. Then the external device is the great choice.
but the native one is 100% faster and smoother.
Apology again to send full screen native android auto as alternative in this thread, hope it won’t lead this thread too much off track.
good work, and thanks for sharing a good brand of the hardware

I have no idea if this box is a good brand yet, it works as advertised but I will need more time to see if it continues to provide a stable connection.
As far as the native one being 100% faster and smoother, that is not accurate. I had a 2023 Cayenne loaner and the full screen Android auto was the same as what this box provides in terms of being fast and smooth. Theres no lag or frame rate choppiness and in those aspects, zero difference from the 2023 OEM system that I can perceive.

sounds like the box you have which is very good quality. As from previous experience, our customers complained about few brands that have lag and take longer to boot etc…
that is awesome if the one you share here is really good and could be to good alternative solution.
