I had my Macan (2022 S) in for a recall, something about an A/C part...when I asked him about "reprogramming" the lane change from 3 to 5 flashes he said he'd never heard about that and didn't think it could be done...
Dp they just not want to do anything like that?

They don't have job descriptions for that, aside from no Development/Engineering mode available on their tool.
You can do that on your own with relatively affordable tool.
Porsche of Melbourne (Florida) told me the same thing, never heard of doing it and not sure it could be done. I also asked about turning off the beeping of the lift gate and was told they didn't know if that could be done either but even if it could they probably wouldn't do it for safety reasons. Total BS of course!

I found that you can't turn if off, but you can reduce the sound to zero with the PIWIS.
I quickly scrolled thru a E-Mode VAL of my car and identified the following parms to be changed with P*w*s Tester:
Bordcomputer Menükonfiguration 2: Bordcomputer Menuekonfiguration 2 Byte 2 Joker Sport: nicht aktiv , change to "aktiv"
Bordcomputer Menükonfiguration 2: Bordcomputer Menuekonfiguration 2 Byte 2 Joker Sport Plus: nicht aktiv
Bordcomputer Menükonfiguration 2: Bordcomputer Menuekonfiguration 2 Byte 2 Joker PASM: nicht aktiv
Will have some time next week and change those, along with a cool tip Don provided on Lane Assist (minimize bouncing left to right in lane).
Dear Rainer, could you please let me know which Launch model is required? I have been looking for ages for a way to reprogram the diamond button for Sports mode.
thanks in advancedRicardo

@Ricardo Y. - I have no idea about Launch models, never worked with any of those.
@SD00 - you can change the coding value for "Point_of_intervention" in ECU Frontkamera_006 ( Front Cam) to "early". This means that Lane Assist kicks in earlier. I figured I don't like that option either, so in my case Lane Assist normally stays off.
Next week is coming my new Macan 2023... it has not sport chrono... can i add mode button and abilitate sport plus, individual and launch control?
Thank you.
Macan with steel suspension and electronic dampers. Has anyone changed from original shocks to aftermarket SACH shocks and had issues with coding them to the car?
Any tip?
- Simple replacement of electronic OEM dampers to electronic aftermarket dampers? => No coding needed!
- Replacement of electronic OEM dampers to non-electronic aftermarket dampers? => 1. Remove PASM ECU, 2. change PASM in VO to "none" and 3. use automatic coding of all ECUs afterwards. done.

They claim to not be able to code the electronic aftermarket dampers to remove the error code for the chassis fault.
One of the front shocks was faulty, so both got replaced.
if there's a fault displayed - they need to fix the root cause of it. assuming the new shocks are not faulty, the shop likely has built in a fault.
Might be height sensors or connection/cables to new shocks. Macan shocks cabling is a bit tricky as there's no connector to disconnect them, they need to be pinned out with a pin tool in order to get the cable out on top of the rods.
Has nothing to do with coding as car was coded for PASM before already.
What is the error code? Piwis provides guided fault finding where you can systematically drill down, test, and rule out causes...
Looking to do some coding on my 22 Macan, I was wondering if anyone in the area, I'm on LI, but happy to drive to NJ, CT, PA, etc that would let me use their X431 in exchange for some lunch or similar treat?
