From a purely financial aspect, that is true. However, I believe that people buy options to please themselves both for appearance and performance, not with future resale value. Cars make lousy investments overall. Of course, there are exceptions for that, but we're not talking about Macans or Cayennes.

Put down my deposit yesterday for a May allocation.
Tentative build:
Oak green
Truffle interior
21" Macan design wheels
Surround view
Premium package
Painted side blades exterior color (hate the black)
Sport sound
Rear wiper
Heated front glass
...and a few other minor incidentals

My dealer says they have one Macan4 EV allocation. I'm a pretty good customer (latest car I bought from them was the 992 GT3T) but they haven't exactly committed the Macan allocation to me. Today they said MSRP (sad that's even a question these days) but still haven't told me the timing on the allocation. They asked for a preliminary configuration which I provided with a clear message I'm not placing a deposit without the build month.

Initial config below. Pretty light which is the way I always go.

Would love to daily this.

Because of the danish EV-tax system, this spec costs less than the base petrol Macan.

So a 117k euro EV costs the same as a 69k petrol car.

So we changed to the Turbo wheels, and added black accents in the interior to go for a papaya / black kind of look. So this is our "final" build our dealer placed. He says it's expected in So California mid July.

This is very true but my non-GT cars are work beaters as I'm a realtor and I go through them every 18 months because I drive so damn much and don't want to be out of warranty so the low specs are fine as they have all the must haves for me (full leather, heated seats, ventilated seats, and LED headlights) and no unneeded fluff.

@nevil I was watching the Nick Murray configurator video on the new Macan EV. And when he got to the heads up display, at $2600, he said “Porsche you guys are such ********.”

That’s a $1000 option in most other cars. And a car that starts at $79,000 doesn’t have memory seats? It’s a $1300 option?

It’s a very obnoxious practice of Porsche and I don’t like to be a victim anymore than I have to. Burn me twice (in our case).

Even still, we have $14k (- 18% of base) in options in our build, and we were working it.

This is what we’ve came up with: https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PRR927G0

Our sales person told us that the colour combo isn’t popular and recommended truffle with Aventurine; however my wife likes lighter interiors, and we think it looks great…on screen, at least.

Great spec. Who cares about the next owner? I keep flipping back and forth between my spec (ice blue/chalk) and your spec (aventurine green/chalk).
