Maybe I missed it, but how much does this thing weigh? Current Macan base is around 4000lbs.
5.3K for the 4, and 5,470 for the Turbo

The launch event was intensely boring. As a long time EV and Porsche guy, I'm pretty interested. My quick take:
- the design is a little less aggressive than I'd like (sort of matches the launch event)
- the range on the base model is quite good. About the same as the Model 3/Y and better than anything else under $100K
- seems kind of pricey. I configured one and it was ~$88K

I'm probably in on it depending on the allocation game. After the GT3T I'm kind of sick of Porsche buying process but maybe an SUV is easier. Would be my first new SUV purchase from them.

Anyone heard from their SA what the deal is? (I have an email out to mine but it will likely take days to get a reply).

Someone was talking about colors looking like a Bath and Body Works, look at this beauty. Only $100k for this masterpiece. Better get me an allocation soon, prob. going to have to pay $35k over sticker.

No way this thing is going to have the demand to justify ADM's, especially with what has been happening with the Taycan.

Wow, priced up a pretty low optioned car and it came to 95K. Lot of Benjamins for this toaster.

yawwwwn, these will be sitting on the lots with deep discount 18 months from now... just like the Taycan and basically every other EV outside of Tesla.

Agree, I just don't see the market being there. I imagine they will be launching a hybrid version in a few years.

Yeah, I didn't even try and I hit $100k for a less optioned car than my Cayenne Hybrid. Maybe it was the purple paint and purple interior that set it over the edge. But basics that most manufacturers in sub $60k cars now include like surround cameras and such shouldn't be a thought on a car nearing $100k. I didn't even include things like Innodrive or Burmester.

After the initial rush from the Greenwich and Bev hill crowd these will be collecting dust. Year 1 should be killer for them though.

Tend to agree given the price point. I'd rather have a Taycan, Panamera, or a Cayenne for the same $

As a side note: I'm really thinking about getting into a Taycan (have a Cayenne SEH) given some of the deals I'm seeing on Turbo cars and would trade the Cayenne in, though worried about 2 things with the Taycan. Heck, I capitalized on the situation with the Cayenne when I got it. It had a $92k sticker and was <18 months old with 16k miles... got it for $53k if I remember correctly (people were concerned on Hybrids at the time, so they tanked for a bit price wise before the pandemic). Been the best vehicle really, tons of power and been amazing.

1) Seeing some issues with the 20-21 cars noted at times, seems the 22+ don't have the same issues?
2) Range for the price is pretty poor. Bought my 16 year old daughter a certified used Model 3 over summer because I was tired of dealers at Kia, Honda, etc.. marking up. Bought the Model 3 on the app from Tesla, and it's been great. Paid like $32k-34k with taxes or something and we don't qualify for any sort of tax incentives. Range on the Taycan is supposedly the same as our Model 3 which is a $35k-40k car new. I think Porsche needs to up the game on the battery and so potentially holding out to see what they do in any sort of refresh. Obv. fit/finish of the Tesla is nowhere near my Cayenne. It costs us about $5 to charge the model 3 at home from fairly low battery though and don't plan on anything over 200 miles at a time with that car (just run around town and run up miles).

They automatically added everyone from taycanforum to macanevowners, which was honestly annoying, but I am interested in both cars so whatever.

DOA. This thing is so sad. Only positive is the Oak green option as a nonPTS.
