$130k for a turbo with some options for a car that will be $50k in 2 years. Seems nuts when you can get a CPO ICE turbo/GTS for less than one year’s depreciation on a new one.

tesla too. Their used cars have seen values drop tremendously.
Basically all EVs will be sitting on a dealers lot in 2 years for less than half the cost of a new EV.
not a major motivation to buy a new EV, particularly a luxury EV, unless you don’t mind lighting money on fire.
a cheap EV daily driver for commuting/errands like a Bolt, ioniq 6, model 3/Y makes sense.
A 125K Macan EV does not, particularly for the “entry level “ porsche model.

I imagine they'll come out with a 2WD entry-level model once ICE production is finished. No sense competing with themselves in the meantime.

I'm in the market for this Macan EV because the other EVs I'm considering are not any cheaper and are not better. Cybertruck is $100K, EQS AMG is way more expensive and BMW EVs are behind Porsche in so many ways. The Ioniq 5 is closest in terms of performance but for $70K, the car is targeted to the "boy racer" with no options for massage seating or air suspension. Porsche's pricing in the context of range, performance, customer service, luxury options, etc. is actually quite fair. You can't compare the Macan EV to its ICE competitors but rather to similarly priced EVs - in that context the Macan EV Turbo is priced about where it should be IMO.

Will the Macan have a glass roof like the Taycan or can I get it closed off?

Maybe. I have an EV6 - sort of the same thing but less fancy. It's extremely competent but that's about all you'd say about it. If the Macan EV misses the mark on driving dynamics, then your comment is very true. But if Porsche got the feel right, it's apples to oranges.
