Default Okay, my babbling thead - or, inside the brain of Ghetto Erectus, if you will.

I'll keep random stuff that I run across in this thread. Obviously most of the contents are on from the Internet. Some materials maybe NOT be Safe for Work. You have been warned. You probably should not read this thread at work.

First I will start by, a Marilyn Manson on O'Reily Factor. Few years ago I thought Manson was just a crazy dude. But the more I see him talk and the more I hear about him, the cooler I think he is. He is one weird dude for sure, but he has many talents and I think the average folks simply do not (nor do that *want*) to try to understand him. There is a method to his madness.

Just today, I've decided to become a fan of his. After seeing the above interview.

Default inside the brain of Ghetto Erectus, if you will.

What does one actually use to get inside the brain of Ghetto Erectus? A proctoscope?

dohcdohc (4:56:34 PM): in energy form
dohcdohc (4:56:44 PM): and it will happen as you visualized it
theghettoracer (4:56:37 PM): from ancient pre ice age tea trees
theghettoracer (4:56:47 PM): my energy is OFF THE WALL
theghettoracer (4:56:49 PM): it's ****ing insane

theghettoracer (4:57:33 PM): if it meets really high temp
theghettoracer (4:58:03 PM): so this rock, has to be min. of 100,000 years old
theghettoracer (4:58:12 PM): all the way up to 4.5 million years old
theghettoracer (4:58:18 PM): that's the stone age period
theghettoracer (4:58:35 PM): the stone age is amazingly long

dohcdohc (5:07:50 PM): the thread burns down in flames

theghettoracer (5:07:50 PM): as my wit have grown a lot
dohcdohc (5:08:01 PM): awsome man

theghettoracer (5:08:09 PM): it's not even funny lol
dohcdohc (5:08:25 PM): remember, being enlightened
dohcdohc (5:08:37 PM): means being ABLE to destroy all you encounter with your mind
theghettoracer (5:08:31 PM): so i hold this hand axe
theghettoracer (5:08:36 PM): i get mad chi from it
theghettoracer (5:08:37 PM): it's insane
theghettoracer (5:08:41 PM): i wouldn't be surprised
dohcdohc (5:08:50 PM): but useing it instead to try to help people improve
theghettoracer (5:08:51 PM): if when i visit my teacher in LA in the near future

theghettoracer (5:09:42 PM): if my friend's dad is right
dohcdohc (5:09:51 PM): certianly
theghettoracer (5:09:57 PM): you read about his theory of moon hitting the earth?
dohcdohc (5:10:06 PM): now, that notch in the bottom side of the blade
theghettoracer (5:10:05 PM): or just the hand axe part
dohcdohc (5:10:25 PM): no, i didn't, but i wana hear it
dohcdohc (5:10:26 PM): link?
dohcdohc (5:10:35 PM): the notch in the bottom side of the blade looks like it was broken to me
theghettoracer (5:10:41 PM): https://rennlist.com/forums/showthread.php?t=333310
theghettoracer (5:12:26 PM): the info is scattered in that thread but i think i typed most of it
theghettoracer (5:12:31 PM): i gotta work on a better article
dohcdohc (5:15:33 PM): lol
dohcdohc (5:27:57 PM): dude
theghettoracer (5:27:54 PM): heheh
theghettoracer (5:27:55 PM): wassup
dohcdohc (5:28:09 PM): thats an amazingly poor place to post
dohcdohc (5:28:19 PM): i've never seen such poor responce in my entire life
dohcdohc (5:28:30 PM): why waste your time with a group like that?
theghettoracer (5:28:23 PM): now you know why i put all those fools on ignore list
theghettoracer (5:28:36 PM): because there's a lot more ppl reading silently
theghettoracer (5:28:43 PM): most ppl are afraid to speak up
theghettoracer (5:28:51 PM): part of my grand scheme
theghettoracer (5:28:55 PM): to educate the ppl of the world
theghettoracer (5:29:08 PM): i was actually thinking about running for President in Taiwan in 2008
theghettoracer (5:29:15 PM): but you have to be age 40
theghettoracer (5:29:18 PM): so i can't run until 2012
theghettoracer (5:29:20 PM): heheh
dohcdohc (5:29:29 PM): lool
dohcdohc (5:29:35 PM): go for it man
theghettoracer (5:29:35 PM): planning it all man
dohcdohc (5:29:44 PM): ok, now for me, those guys are not on ignore
dohcdohc (5:29:47 PM): and its increadible
theghettoracer (5:29:44 PM): you wanna join
theghettoracer (5:29:46 PM): and talks ome ****
theghettoracer (5:29:47 PM): lol
dohcdohc (5:29:56 PM): SOOOOO much hating
theghettoracer (5:29:53 PM): don't bother me
dohcdohc (5:30:03 PM): i dont like to talk crap man
theghettoracer (5:29:57 PM): i'm ****ing enlightened
dohcdohc (5:30:08 PM): :-D
theghettoracer (5:30:32 PM): i can't wait to see
theghettoracer (5:30:41 PM): how much potential i can unleash out of my brain/body
dohcdohc (5:31:00 PM): its unlimited
theghettoracer (5:31:04 PM): making daily progress
theghettoracer (5:31:11 PM): hell, it's kinda crazy
theghettoracer (5:31:16 PM): i make improvements even in my sleep
theghettoracer (5:31:23 PM): i don't sleep that much anymore
theghettoracer (5:31:45 PM): so, have you studied human anatomy or genetics?
theghettoracer (5:31:53 PM): some ppl say we must be engineered
theghettoracer (5:31:56 PM): not evolved
theghettoracer (5:31:58 PM): what do you think?
theghettoracer (5:32:06 PM): i haven't read enough on genomics to have a say
dohcdohc (5:32:36 PM): we were absolutely 100% engineered
dohcdohc (5:32:46 PM): as were animals
theghettoracer (5:32:45 PM): damn
theghettoracer (5:32:47 PM): dats crazy
dohcdohc (5:33:00 PM): something called MICROevolution is definately real
dohcdohc (5:33:13 PM): however MACRO-evolution is BS
dohcdohc (5:33:29 PM): microevolution consists of people adapting
theghettoracer (5:33:24 PM): who the hell engineered us. crazy
theghettoracer (5:33:47 PM): i had long talk with someone (well, lately i talk with too many crazy ppl it seems lol)
dohcdohc (5:33:55 PM): for example, if guys and girls all started liking red-haird chicks/guys
theghettoracer (5:34:03 PM): who believed that all the information we carry inside
dohcdohc (5:34:13 PM): and more red haired people passed on genetic material
theghettoracer (5:34:05 PM): i geuss it's true
theghettoracer (5:34:12 PM): things get passed down
dohcdohc (5:34:25 PM): then we would have more red-heads in the world
theghettoracer (5:34:17 PM): even if we are not yet aware
dohcdohc (5:34:31 PM): humans would be more prone to sunburns
theghettoracer (5:34:28 PM): right
dohcdohc (5:34:51 PM): , and perhaps some human that retained red hair, but had the skin of a normal white dude
dohcdohc (5:34:57 PM): would have an advantage in breeding
theghettoracer (5:34:52 PM): kinda like how fish know to swim up river
dohcdohc (5:35:12 PM): and the human-being would adapt more towards that
dohcdohc (5:35:24 PM): which would be adaptation, which is MICRO-evolution
theghettoracer (5:35:21 PM): animal insticts must get carry on by genes some how
dohcdohc (5:35:33 PM): MACRO-evolutoin is BS
dohcdohc (5:35:35 PM): yes, exactly
dohcdohc (5:35:38 PM): behavior
theghettoracer (5:35:39 PM): do you think we evolved from Homo Erectus?
dohcdohc (5:35:48 PM): knowing the place animals were born
dohcdohc (5:35:53 PM): no
theghettoracer (5:35:52 PM): maybe they are the last generation
dohcdohc (5:36:02 PM): you know what I think?
theghettoracer (5:35:57 PM): eng. by whoever eng. us
dohcdohc (5:36:15 PM): ok ok
dohcdohc (5:36:15 PM): first
dohcdohc (5:36:25 PM): you gotta break it down like this
dohcdohc (5:36:33 PM): life
dohcdohc (5:36:37 PM): at the most simple level
dohcdohc (5:36:47 PM): very most simple level of life on the plant
dohcdohc (5:36:49 PM): planet
dohcdohc (5:37:00 PM): we are talking a 1cell nothing here ok
dohcdohc (5:37:15 PM): has never been created by man
dohcdohc (5:37:31 PM): even when we start with all the building blocks of other cells to start with
dohcdohc (5:37:37 PM): here is the fact of life my friend
dohcdohc (5:37:52 PM): once something has died, even the most simple life on earth
dohcdohc (5:37:57 PM): we can not restart it
theghettoracer (5:38:02 PM): yah
dohcdohc (5:38:13 PM): once the lifeforce has left it
dohcdohc (5:38:19 PM): nothing humans can do about it
dohcdohc (5:38:30 PM): nor can all the machines in the world take all the parts of a cell
dohcdohc (5:38:37 PM): and make it alive
dohcdohc (5:38:46 PM): absolutly nothing can create life
theghettoracer (5:38:40 PM): i never thought of it that way. interesting
dohcdohc (5:38:54 PM): evne in the best conditions with the very best parts
dohcdohc (5:38:59 PM): its never happened
dohcdohc (5:39:16 PM): similarly, what happens if lets say hypothetically you make life
dohcdohc (5:39:25 PM): take the most simple life ever ok
dohcdohc (5:39:28 PM): and make it
dohcdohc (5:39:32 PM): now what happens?
dohcdohc (5:39:37 PM): its the first life
dohcdohc (5:39:54 PM): when you make a robot, is that robot able to duplicate itself?
dohcdohc (5:40:01 PM): F*CK NO
theghettoracer (5:40:02 PM): logically, maybe...
dohcdohc (5:40:13 PM): the reproduction of the most simple thing on earth
theghettoracer (5:40:11 PM): some of the AI or simulated **** is suppose to do that
dohcdohc (5:40:24 PM): is SOOOOOOO far beyond anything man has ever done
theghettoracer (5:40:26 PM): true
theghettoracer (5:40:37 PM): but we have made great progress in the last 100 years
theghettoracer (5:40:42 PM): it's pretty amazing how far we've come
dohcdohc (5:40:58 PM): dude, you are tlaking about a robot programmed to make itself
dohcdohc (5:41:01 PM): this is NOT life
dohcdohc (5:41:08 PM): not in anyway even close to life
theghettoracer (5:41:07 PM): i think most have never ever pondered about life force
dohcdohc (5:41:18 PM): secondly, there is a knowledge in all living things
dohcdohc (5:41:25 PM): which enables life to work
dohcdohc (5:41:30 PM): take a baby bunny
dohcdohc (5:41:40 PM): right from birth, eyes still closed
dohcdohc (5:41:48 PM): raise it
dohcdohc (5:41:59 PM): its never seen another bunny its whole life
dohcdohc (5:42:15 PM): put a girl bunny in there who has never seen another bunny its whole life
dohcdohc (5:42:25 PM): they mate
dohcdohc (5:42:29 PM): they raise kids
dohcdohc (5:42:32 PM): sucessfully
dohcdohc (5:42:41 PM): that is KNOWLEDGE
dohcdohc (5:42:45 PM): that they are created with
dohcdohc (5:43:08 PM): frick dude, humans dont evne have a fricking clue what knowledge IS, or where it is stored
dohcdohc (5:43:17 PM): i dont belive it is stored in our brains
dohcdohc (5:43:39 PM): i belive the brain is the linking tool between the body and the life force
theghettoracer (5:43:34 PM): it's prolly anothre dimension
dohcdohc (5:43:48 PM): and our knowledge is stored by the lifeforce
theghettoracer (5:43:42 PM): or, life force as you call it
dohcdohc (5:43:53 PM): yes
theghettoracer (5:43:46 PM): or soul
dohcdohc (5:43:56 PM): yes
theghettoracer (5:43:50 PM): spirit
dohcdohc (5:44:03 PM): lifeforce, chi, spirit, soul
theghettoracer (5:44:02 PM): chi is not part of that tho
theghettoracer (5:44:09 PM): well hmm
dohcdohc (5:44:18 PM): yes, you are right
dohcdohc (5:44:21 PM): chi is energy
theghettoracer (5:44:13 PM): all living things have chi
dohcdohc (5:44:23 PM): right
theghettoracer (5:44:18 PM): but it is not knowledge
dohcdohc (5:44:28 PM): right
dohcdohc (5:44:30 PM): i agree
dohcdohc (5:44:31 PM): my bad
theghettoracer (5:44:38 PM): i don't think plants have knowledge
dohcdohc (5:44:50 PM): anyways, i think the brain is a tool to link this lifeforce which has knowledge inside it
dohcdohc (5:44:55 PM): to the body
theghettoracer (5:45:00 PM): yah, brain is like some crazy adv. mechanism
dohcdohc (5:45:12 PM): think of an image of something you remember well
theghettoracer (5:45:07 PM): that can be developed into something rediculous
dohcdohc (5:45:19 PM): close your eyes
dohcdohc (5:45:30 PM): visualize your yellow civics bumper
dohcdohc (5:45:37 PM): do you see it?
dohcdohc (5:45:46 PM): where was that image stored?
theghettoracer (5:45:38 PM): ok. and?
theghettoracer (5:45:45 PM): yah,
dohcdohc (5:45:57 PM): tell me where you recalled that image from?
theghettoracer (5:45:57 PM): we actually stored EVERYTHING we have ever encountered
theghettoracer (5:46:01 PM): that's why under hypnosis
theghettoracer (5:46:04 PM): things can be recalled
dohcdohc (5:46:17 PM): yeah, you get crazythings
theghettoracer (5:46:10 PM): normally we dunno how to access all that information
dohcdohc (5:46:27 PM): yup
theghettoracer (5:46:37 PM): my friend's theory is that nothiing ever gets created it
theghettoracer (5:46:43 PM): all the music and this knowledge
theghettoracer (5:46:45 PM): it already exists
theghettoracer (5:46:51 PM): we are just access it
theghettoracer (5:46:54 PM): slowly
theghettoracer (5:47:09 PM): sometimes i feel like we are part of a game
theghettoracer (5:47:21 PM): the higher beings are just watching us develop
theghettoracer (5:47:25 PM): for fun or something
theghettoracer (5:47:34 PM): at least we have free will
theghettoracer (5:47:35 PM): heheh
theghettoracer (5:50:08 PM): jeff's still a dumb *** hahaha
theghettoracer (5:50:12 PM): i mean he's ok
theghettoracer (5:50:17 PM): he's got good amount of experience
theghettoracer (5:50:22 PM): he's just not advanced thinker
theghettoracer (5:57:46 PM): did you see this video?

dohcdohc (6:22:32 PM): hey, you are in japan right?
dohcdohc (6:22:38 PM): i need a camera
dohcdohc (6:22:42 PM): a good digital

Ok, I can foresee the future with this one. I don't know how, but some how I ended up at the scientology web site. Ohh yes, I recall now, a rennlist member from Santa Cruz is entering in the Road & Track 24 hours of LeMons race... i noticed his myspace profile said scientology so i decided to check it out. Tom Cruise is ****ing crazy, however I do like John Travolta a lot and he is a is a follower. So I read up a bit on what it is... and who the found is. The founder is very interesting. check him out: http://www.scientology.org/en_US/l-r...ard/index.html

I think his biggest mistake with Scientology however, is calling it a religion. that totally throws ppl off... what Scientology is about is actually very similar to my interest currently - developing maximum human potential (body and mind). I just might have to go to a local chapter to check it out.

Scientology is the study and handling of the spirit in relationship to itself, others and all of life. The religion comprises a body of knowledge extending from certain fundamental truths. Prime among these:

Man is an immortal, spiritual being. His experience extends well beyond a single lifetime. His capabilities are unlimited, even if not presently realized — and those capabilities can be realized. He is able to not only solve his own problems, accomplish his goals and gain lasting happiness, but also achieve new, higher states of awareness and ability.

Wow. That's what I've been feeling in the last 3 months.

Hmm, might have to goto Library to check out this book. It looks good.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ancestor%27s_Tale

he Ancestor's Tale (subtitled "A Pilgrimage to the Dawn of Life") is a 2004 popular science book by Richard Dawkins, with contributions from Dawkins' research assistant Yan Wong. It follows the path of humans backwards through evolutionary history, meeting humanity's cousins as they converge on common ancestors. The book was nominated for the 2005 Aventis Prize for Science Books.

The narrative is structured as a pilgrimage, with all modern animals following their own path through history to the origin of life. Humans meet their cousins at rendezvous points along the way, the points at which the lineage diverged. At each point Dawkins attempts to infer, from molecular and fossil evidence, the probable form of the ancestor and describes the modern animals that join humanity's growing travelling party. This structure is inspired by Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales.

The pilgrimage visits a total of 40 "rendezvous points" from rendezvous zero, the most recent common ancestor of all of humanity, to rendezvous 39, eubacteria, the ancestor of all surviving organisms. Though Dawkins is confident of the essential shape of this phylogenetic taxonomy, he enters caveats on a small number of branch points where a compelling weight of evidence had not been assembled at the time of writing.

At each rendezvous point, Dawkins recounts interesting tales about cousin animals which are about to join the band of pilgrims. Every newly recruited species, genus or family has its own peculiar features to offer as amusement for readers. And these features are studied and analyzed using a newly introduced tool or method from evolutionary biology, carefully woven into the tale to illustrate how the few simple assumptions of Darwinian evolution can explain all diversity in nature.

Even though the book is best read sequentially, every chapter can also be read independently as a self-contained tale with an emphasis on a particular aspect of modern biology. As a whole, the book elaborates on all major topics in evolution. The Ancestor's Tale can be considered an encyclopedia on evolution disguised as a collection of fascinating stories.

Dawkins also tells personal stories about his childhood and time at university. He too seems just as surprised as the reader when he reveals the closest relatives to the hippos. He also discusses why the axolotl never needs to grow up, how new species come about, how hard it is to classify animals and why our fish-like ancestors decided to move on to land.

The book was produced in two hardback versions: a British one with extensive colour illustrations (by Weidenfeld & Nicolson), and an American one with a reduced number of black-and-white illustrations (by Houghton Mifflin). Paperback versions and an abridged audio version (narrated by Dawkins and his wife Lalla Ward) have also been published.

The book is dedicated to Dawkins' friend and mentor, population geneticist John Maynard Smith, who died shortly before the book went to press.

So, I think I'm going to stay in Tokyo until end of March...

Mainly to catch the Round 1 of Super GT (JGTC) race at Suzuka (Honda race track, former Formula 1 track too). It is on the March 17/18th weekend. I think I can also catch Sumo!! (my favorite sports to watch LIVE) And maybe visit Mountain Fuji (I want to climb it), as well as fulfill my dream of doing an outdoor Onsen! Well, the dream is to have cute chicks by my sides hahaha, but I don't think that will happen this time around.

Speed of light and diamonds. Very interesting.

The Science Behind the Sparkle
by Robert Hazen

Today, most people admire diamonds for two exceptional attributes: their hardness and their brilliance. Scholars knew of diamonds' unrivaled hardness since antiquity, but its unique optical properties went unrecognized until comparatively recently. The natural diamonds that were hoarded by potentates of old have little of the visual drama that we associate with today's faceted gems. Deeply colored rubies, emeralds, and sapphires were far more prized as adornments. Owners accumulated the seemingly indestructible diamond pebbles, as found in their unpolished natural state, as talismans against defeat and symbols of their own "manly" virtues, without ever seeing diamonds as objects of beauty.

....

A few scientific ideas have become part of our folklore. The equation E=mc2 is one - a cultural icon as much as it is a statement of the equivalence of mass and energy. Another of these commonplace science snippets tells us that the speed of light is constant. A T-shirt slogan popular in physics departments proclaims "186,000 miles per second: It's not just a good idea, it's the law!" But as for many other legal systems, there's some fine print most people ignore. You have to add the rather mundane words, "in a vacuum." When light travels through matter - air, water, glass, or diamond, for example - it travels slower than 186,000 miles per second. The actual explanation, having to do with the way light interacts with the electrons present in every atom, is somewhat complex, but you can visualize this slow-down by thinking of light rays having to make little detours every time an electron gets in the way.

...

Most clear and colorless objects retard light only a modest amount. The air we breathe has only a trifling billion-trillion atoms per cubic inch. Space between atoms are much greater than the size of the atoms themselves, so air reduces light speed by just a few hundred miles per second - not enough to notice under most circumstances. In water and ice, which have thousands of times more atoms per cubic inch than air, light travels about 140,000 miles per second - 30 percent slower than in a vacuum. Window glass drops light speed to 120,000 miles per second, similar to the travel time through most common minerals, whereas lead-containing decorative glass, the kind used in chandeliers and cut glass, slows light even more, to about 100,000 miles per second (lead has lots of electrons that get in the way). Diamonds put the brakes on light like no other known colorless substance. Diamond is crammed with electrons - no substance you have ever seen has atoms more densely packed - so light pokes along at less than 80,000 miles per second. That's more than 100,000 miles per second slower than in air.
