Ooh, fun new task! I'll give it a go this evening.

A few sales yesterday - spreadsheet updated!

UPDATE: Having trouble ID'ing cars on the registry based on VIN. Can anybody advise?

I think it may be the opposite of a dip with the Gt3 here. With the renewed interest in manual cars and such a big price difference between the Gt3/gt4 I could see folks not wanting to reach to 170k and would "settle" with a manual gt4 at 110ish. Plus as of today it's only a one year build.

No problem.

I started filling in the original MSRPs this evening but I quickly maxed out server calls to the vin decoder's website. Will have to do some more tomorrow...

Here is a file with (just about) all the PCNA GT4s and their MSRP, inclusive of delivery charge.

+1. There a huge price difference between the GT4 and the new 991.2 GT3. There will surely be a handful of GT4 owners that can and will trade up to the new GT3. But I wouldn't expect those numbers to have much of an effect on used GT4 prices at all.

You can buy a low mileage GT4 now for around $100K, give or take a few thousand. You're not going to be able to buy a new GT3 for less than $160K and you're not going to get that car for at least six months. I see that as two different buyers.

The opposite of a dip would be be an increase in prices... late 2016 most GT4's were going for 5-10k over MSRP. Now that we're getting into spring I assumed prices would spike but rather prices have settled back to around MSRP. As we approach Fall/Winter and the 991.2 GT3 is released I foresee more supply of GT4's hitting the market, thus prices should stay at ~MSRP or less. I hope to land a car far before then but I haven't found the perfect build from a private seller.

Off topic but, what do you use to call to the server?

My only issue with buying a used 991.1 GT3 is the DLC issue. I traded mine because I didn't want to deal with wondering when/if my engine would suffer from failed DLC coating. My GT4 has an MSRP of just a little under $117k and I am waiting on what the dealer will offer should I trade. I haven't yet decided that I want to do that. I honestly like the lines of the GT4 better than the GT3.

I was doing it manually. Interestingly they do offer an API (for a fee), though.

i was thinking prices are closer to msrp now and with the new Gt3 coming- it wouldn't surprise me to see things sway upward back to the 5-10k over. But I haven't been following prices as closely as others have. Purely speculation on my end, I suppose we will find out in 6-12 months.

Ah ok! Thought you were using a script to do it. I'm a performance engineer, so I'm always interested in what a site can handle load wise!
