I will never ever buy a GT4 with a four cylinder turbo. The four cylinder sounds crappy and the GT4 would actually lose its soul. However, a four cylinder would be the best what could happen to 981 GT4 owners because the prices for such cars will explode.

They are not mutually exclusive things.
Yeah, chassis designation is 982 for the 718 convertible, and 982C for the 718 coupe;

982 GT4 won't be a turbo, track heat soak would be worse than the Z06.

If properly designed I don't think that would be an issue.

If it wasn't radiators, water pumps, fans etc. wouldn't exist. My point is a properly designed turbo engine in a GT4 wouldn't have the issues of the improperly designed engine in the Z06.

cant agree more. Somehow this idea just doesn't stick no matter how many times this has been repeated

981.2, 982, whatever, Porsche dug up the 718 name to help promote the flat 4. I can't see shoving a 6 turbo or not into a "718"

Agree with the first part. However, Porsche isn't doing well in the 9k RPM engine department.

Be happy if they can get 8000 rpm. haha If the next GT4 isn't NA, I'm not interested. Since the Clubsport is PDK and N/A, you can expect the next GT4 to be PDK and N/A as well. Why re-invent the wheel. Copy, paste, and build!

BMW took a while to figure out 8k. I think Porsche has already figured 8.8k (at least for the 4.0 engine).

some still trying to figure out how to make car not push. when the rest got it dialed in long ago and moved to the new platform.
