It was a Trackmasters event Wed - Thu at the Glen. If anyone gets a chance, their Open Track group is amazing. 4.5 hours of track time per day, very fast cars and drivers, and pretty open point by rules.

Unfortunately they’re only at Watkins Glen, but if you’re making the trip out, I would go to their event.

Great to hear. Thanks for sharing. That's a TON of track time in a day. And I thought Chin was a lot, at three hours.

Curious to hear times you were seeing in (relatively stock) GT4s.

I’m running low 2:15’s with Cup2’s. Should be more like 2:13, but traffic, and other excuses. I’ll see if I can load a video later today. (Not CrazyFast lap times yet, but I’m still in my first year driving :-). *Edited - link to video on Youtube:

Loving the RE71R’s, by the way. Really nice progressive breakaway and felt like I could control the slides better. Definitely will help with pushing the times down further.

yup - that’s mine. I’m back for Niagara as well, but driving my Turbo. Should be fun if the fog clears up!

Seems like its only 2016 builds that are affected

10/2015 build. 23000 miles and 6 Smokies events, lots of 2-3 shifts, with no issues.

Fair bit of empirical support that says builds in 2016, probably after January (but I'm not certain about this), are MUCH more likely to fail than builds before then. Not sure if very late 2016 builds are still susceptible, but it's possible. I don't believe there's much support for 2015-build failures.

I have a Boxster 718S manual built March 2017. Lost third gear while at Summit Point after downshifting from 4th.

I didn't think they built GT4's in 2017

Edit; I totally missed the Boxter S
