Yes. He says he is sending me the DME, but hasn't sent it yet. Jenner's old car could be the one, but I have to check in on a few things first. My quote for the lift/garage work. Quote for the transport. Additional research on what the DME report tells me. I love the way it's speced out, and it may finally get me off the sidelines.

I apologize for the format it pasted. Basically there were only 2 sold recently. A blue car on west coast sold on 9/08 with 2k miles did $103k and a grey car at same auction on 8/02 with 300 miles did $101k. Obv there's no way to tell what the MSRP's were.

Here is the DME from Jenner's car who has been incredibly helpful helping me run down the history. Thank you kind sir!

The dealer claims the stage 4 is invalid because it doesn't have an hour count.

My local Porsche guy (who I ran a track day with, and whose team took care of my car on that track day, but we aren't best friends or anything) says that could mean a down shift over-rev "which is the worse." But he hasn't seen the report yet, but will soon.

Of course, I don't know how to think about it just yet thus the intel collection.

There are a few stage 3's. Attaching here so Jenner can see (you can't send images in Pms), and your input(s) about how that impacts the car value (or not.)

He won't give me a best and final price and wants me to make an offer. He is using the standard "there are 4 people interested in this car" and "LA market isn't like this market" dealer double-speak. I really want to do that, but not until I understand what my risks are.

With the hits in 1 and 2 and 3, the car was driven hard. But, that's what they are for, right? I don't want to over-index on the DME report, but it's also my first time looking at one so UNDERSTANDING what it means is important to me.

Divide the ignition numbers by 3 and that gives you the revolutions. So 3 in range 3 is 1 revolution at that rpm which is a very short time. A reading of 1 is most likely not real. This is based on the last conversation I had on rev ranges with my dealer.

When I get the full DME report, I feel like I am going to need help interpreting it.
I'm pretty sure any stage 4 or above over-rev will preclude a CPO warranty.

#1 Over rev 416=138 revolutions 7800rpm =130 per second so the time was 1.06 seconds of over-rev range 1..correct? not a big deal

They don't believe the stage 4 is valid, which I assume is why they will CPO it (unless the guy is just flat lying about how it's in the CPO process, but I'll put it in my purchase contract.)

So, I intended to make an offer tommorow. I love this spec. As mentioned, if I could order one it would look a lot like this one.

The car's MSRP is $96,190. The dealer wants $115,999. That's 120.59%. That's a PREMIUM % for sure. The car has Xpel full paint protection. This is not in the ad. Jenner told me this, and so did the dealer. It also (according to the dealer) has new tires.

I have yet to see a CPOd GT4 for sale, although the dealers were always happy to charge me the $2000-2500 to do it. They use the standard "it has the balance of the factory warranty and doesn't need it."

If I assign full value to the Xpel and pay for the CPO, it's still 14% over MSRP. That's in-line with what it would take you to get a new one from a dealer locally. They charge 15-20K (or 13% of MSRP) over for "market adjustment."

At least, that's the opening move locally and they come right out and say it.

I have yet to see the super optioned one at 16% over MSRP move. It's still sitting, but others have come and gone in the mere 2 weeks I've been at it. I still have an additional $2200 (estimate) cost to ship it across the country and CA state tax to pay.

Now I just need to figure out what I'll offer between tonight and tommorow. And, I suck this part. No experience here trying to buy my way into GT car territory.

Should I assume he will just say no and I have to go back and forth and play the whole game?

Should I give him my best and final and live with the results?

What say you, Rennlist?

Dealer probably paid msrp for the car, so selling it at msrp is not an option for them. At least not yet.

Based of 10 minutes and search of what you provided. I made these pretty reasonable assumptions.

-The car was most likely tracked (not a detractor for me, but for you maybe)
-The car had mechanical modifications that were taken off.
-The car had software modifications and a tune that were taken off.

I think it's up to you whether its worth it.

I think all your assumptions are accurate and I know the car was tracked because Jenner told me so.
The dealer said they had to reset the tire camber.

I'm not aware of any software mods or tunes that were undone and Jenner didn't say anything about that (or the tire camber).

I think i am going to go in with MSRP + CPO costs + maybe a small offering to the gods and hope for the best. The dealer certainly didn't pay for the XPEL, but would like to charge me for it. I'm not expecting he is going to sell it to me at MSRP.

Dealers! Get to sell car's twice! I'm mostly a capitalist, so I'm not even mad to be honest.

That link doesn't work and search isn't helping. Can you kindly copy/paste the actual direct URL?

That is the direct link. Its search results, for the threads he's started. It shows everything he's selling/sold that coincides with the selling of his car. As well as the dyno tune results for the GT4.
