NJMP update 1:30.03 upgraded from sports button to pure Heel/Toe
That's quick! Assuming Thunderbolt without the kink? What tires? Fastest I went there in my CR on some tired super sports was a 1:33.7. Excellent track, nice and technical and you've got to have ***** coming onto the straight.
Kevin and Jacy looks like you guys were having an awesome time at Watkins Glen (loving your data acquisition Jacy). I did an endurance race there with AER after they repaved the track, and it is still my favorite track I've driven to date. We'll see if that stands after Sebring haha. I hope you guys stopped in at Seneca Lodge while you were there, and got yourselves a $2 bill!
The straight has actually become relatively easy now. Flat through 12 most times even in different lines. Challenges where I can gain time are 1,2 a little in 3,4. Some in 6,7 and getting a better run out of 10
I had a few laps that would have resulted in a low 29 that where aborted by traffic or in which I made a mistake...
This 30.03 was the result of a lap in which I was .6 behind another 30.03 lap at the halfway mark
I think on fresh tires and a clean lap there is a mid 28 waiting for me

High 1:20s are a definite possibility there without a doubt. Good to hear you are taking 12 flat, I have a feeling good rubber inspires a lot more confidence there. I'll have to make my way back at some point with proper tires and give it a whirl, I had to breathe slightly before turn in to power through it without the tires breaking loose.
Pirelli DH slicks should be worth 3 sec/laps vs Hoosier R7s, so you will have to get to 2:01 to match the R7 lap record. If you really just want the fastest time, you need to get some Michelin slicks.
...don't forget my 2:08.44 on stock Michelin Cup 2's--post #810...just "pipped" by Jacy on MPSC 2's on his first day there--really remarkable as I have done over 400 laps there

Got it up
It had been my practice to replace a driver's previous best lap with their new best lap. But, I will pay closer attention when the new best lap is with sticker tires and keep both up.
I've been reviewing data today and it seems I got so completely caught up in the excitement of ALMOST dipping into the low 56's at Thunderhill's 3 mile cyclone, I failed to post up my actual PB lap of 1:56.9.
So there Joe... I'm laying down the gauntlet. You've yet to be officially on the top step of the podium! LOL

After two new PB laps in a row were spoiled by traffic I decided to go Lambo with my onboard and combine best sectors to create a video matching the theoretical best laptime calculated by RaceChronoPro - a 2:45.5
Ran a 2.47.3 with a passenger and traffic as well.
The car is bone stock. It ran for 2 days of open track without skipping a beat. 125 laps, 875 kilometers, 330 litres of fuel.
Alignment - max on stock parts - F/R -1.4/-1,3
Tyres: Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s
Roll bars F/R: Medium/Hard
As it has been pointed out numerous times MPSC2 is a qualifying tire - 2 lap warmup then 3-4 quick laps and it’s toast. You can carry on at a decent speed but there is no chance to match the pace from the initial laps.
Ran one day in the wet as well and was surprised how well the tires handled it. WOT in second in a straight line did not brake traction. If there was no standing water they handled high speeds (125mph+) without a problem.
I'm confident that on fresh rubber, with no traffic and little fuel I could land a med to low 2:45. Determined to make it happen at some point next year
No changes on the board for me, just wanted to share the experience.
Watkins Glen last weekend with Hooked on Driving. Best lap was 2:10:11
I was there in the spring and running 2:14 since the car was new to me. Now that I trust it I am amazed with what it can do.
Running stock pilot sport cup 2, did alignment maximizing stock adjustments and corner balance. Fabspeed sport headers makes it very loud. Comp Motorsports roll bar and 6pt harnesses.
Car is ridiculous! And I have 9 days on stock pads with 40% remaking. Thanks,
