i think it needs a front mud flap to stop debris being kicked up.

Car has clearbra on sills and intakes, but it could use more. The 997 had replaceable sills that took all the abuse.

Aggressive, it looks good! I hope you have clear bra on the sides and rear bumper.

Looks sweet, now I'm tempted to try the R7 crack on the GT4. So you only lowered the car by 5mm in the front? You might consider going to a stiffer spring set-up like I did. I can put you in touch with my suspension guy to get the springs. When do you take the car out to the track?

I'm gonna see how this goes, and the next round of mods might get cute (i.e. springs and sways). you're being the perfect guineapig-gentleman on this

God, that looks sick. I love aggressive offsets - makes all the difference.

I don't think you'll need to upgrade the sway bars but I did get the sway bar drop links when I changed out the springs so the car could be corner balanced. To give you some perspective, the car feels a touch softer in the normal setting compared to the stiff setting on the OEM springs. Even when I put it on stiff with the new springs it isn't bad on the street. I loved how I wasn't getting any more diving by the front end in braking zones with the new springs.

Car looks awesome! I have a black GT4 and just ordered a set of red Forgeline GA1R wheels with Hoosier R7s. Hoping to get them put on in the next two weeks. Still trying to work out my alignment specs.

ShakeNBake: Who did the alignment work on your car in Austin? I'd love to talk to the same shop.

What is a good sizing and offset, with slightly wider than stock tires/wheels.. But without something that aggressive, don't want it sticking out from fender for road use.

I have a Spyder btw, not gt4.

ShakeNBake: Any update on your setup? It looks awesome! My current track setup (soon to be modified) and wheel offset is slightly different than yours but I think I'm headed in your direction with Forgelines and Hoosiers. Any suggestions/cautions that you are figuring out as you live with this setup? Thanks in advance!

Ditto, I want to hear how it went. With R7s I should be able to keep up with 991 GT3s on the track.

Alright - first day at TWS with this setup. TWS is a fast track, avg 90mph, pretty bumpy, some high G corners, and few spots with high compression as you transition onto and off of the original NASCAR oval.

We're running CCW today. Stiff mode. Front drivers side tire is rubbing a little on the metal 10-12oclock. Very slightly, and no where near what my .2RS had with 265s. Not rubbing on the other 3 corners.

No great lap times, 50s, and 51s, but, this car could easily get into the high 40s with R7s - I just don't have the ***** to carry the entry speed.

So net is that I'm happy with this setup, but it rubs a bit on extreme compression. Walk into it eyes wide open. I'd back off maybe 2-3mm on offset on the front if doing it again.
