There were two of them out there in our group. A white one and a blue one. Both in the WC race coming up at COTA with TRG. They said they were running 2:26/27 laps on fresh tires. I was playing with the blue car for a while, i could tell by watching my mirror that he had much better stopping abilities, and gear helped him in some places, but other than that the cars are close to equal. The Driver and I had a nice chat afterwards. He said he's very happy with the car now that they have it setup, and can't wait for the race.

best I could do today, still learning and building confidence.

Yowza, great lap and excellent driving! Thanks for the video.

Impressive you are right there with the clubsports! Are you still on stock brake pads?

Great lap... my 2010 CS is stock, and I ran 2:46 my only time at CotA... I can only hope to have the chance to knock off 20 seconds when the GT4 gets here.

ShakeNBake, Looks like fun. Are you using the "auto-blipper" on downshifts?

No, the car does much better that that - I was overshooting all over the place.

For those wondering about tire rubbing. Everything was fine at COTA with this setup...tiny bit, but nothing worth noting. It's really important to center the wheel in the fender with adjustable thrust arms or thrust arm bushings (this goes for the rear as well if you use shims).

I'm going to bump up the negative camber a bit, to -3.5F/3R. The way the camber curve works on these things is tricky. The outside 2 inches of tire is really getting scraped off, front and rear, but the inside, especially on rear, is has much higher temps.

Temp profile just before I dropped pressure on rear tires (hoosiers)

I was trying to keep them around 38-39 while on track per TPMS.

I have an email into the product manager for the R7 at Hoosier. I know we're supposed to run them at a higher pressure than the R6, but I've heard to many different answers from track folks "in the know", so I'll let you know what they say if I hear back.

.2RS (red) vs GT4 (blue) plot from COTA best laps, same tires (less than 5 heat cycles). In the RS I stayed in 3rd gear (pressure-plate will not hold 2nd downshifts without eventually grenading) for T1, T11, T15, T20. GT4 I went down to 2nd.

Nice graphs! It looks like the GT4 has higher minimal speeds and is virtually same speed or faster everywhere but on the straights.

Great feedback Jacy. I was looking forward to your track findings.
Great driving by the way. Was entertaining to watch.

I know that the chassis balance on the MR to RR doesn't seem like a big change but it will take some re-calibrating to get back to full attack mode as if you were in the .2 RS. I am impressed on how quick you are already knowing that once you get dialed in to the MR chassis balance there will be more even more time in it. Sweet!!!

So without going into too much detail that would best be served with a phone call. How do you like the car compared to your previous steed. Is it challenging to drive? rewarding to drive?

Regretting not taking delivery of mine a bit. Ha ha
