How's the car feel after it? Curious to hear the immediate reaction.

I picked the car up yesterday morning and had to leave town a couple of hours later so these are very preliminary first impressions:

1. Car feels much quicker down low and in the middle ranges - love it
2. Mid range dip in power seems to be eliminated - love it
3. BMC filters do create a bit of intake noise - not entirely in love with that but its very minor
4. Pro Tune immediately resolved the CEL which came on prior to having flashed the ECU with the Cobb (was waiting to download the pro tune) - love it
5. With the valves closed the car is a little louder than normal until you get on it - love it
6. With the valves open the car is significantly louder. Haven't spent enough time with it to have a solid view on what I think about the tone. I sort of feel like a little bit of the Porsche motor sound is covered up by increased exhaust but need to spend more time with the car - a bit on the fence.

Noticed you have the bonnet ducts, are they functional like on the 991.2 RS ?

Car looks brilliant BTW.

Tossed it on my brothers lift and we installed the Dundon headers that I purchased from a forum member. The drive home was fantastic. It's as epic as everyone has said. Such an amazing noise. Adjusted my sway bars and removed the front aero bits. Still need to tweak the rear wing. No CEL from the headers. At least not yet.

Tossed on the bolster covers as well this week. Also purchased from a forum member. Not in love with them, but do like the added protection they provide.

Previously I removed the ceramic rotors and replaced with Girodiscs.

Next up - BMC air filters. And a Cobb Tuner should be here end of the month approximately.

Definitely been a nice Labor day!

It's a Danmar Max Jax. It works pretty well - had it several years. After the initial install I had a few hydraulic fluid leaks and had to tear it down and do a better job of taping and tightening the fittings. I generally only lift it to the height shown. It will go higher by a couple feet, but it's still not high enough to walk under. It has 6k lb capacity, and I've had our Buick Enclave on it regularly - it's around 5k+ lb I believe. We added the garage so I had a fixture made and set in the concrete to accept a 1" diameter grade 8 bolt. It has five bolts total (per post), but I didn't want to rely totally on concrete anchors that go into drilled holes. The one bolt is strong enough itself to hold the post, so it should have a good safety margin.

It's a bit gnarly at first getting under it, but after a while you gain confidence it's not going to fail!

Thanks for the all the details and info. The heaviest vehicle we have now is a SQ5 so this lift should be more than adequate.

There are other methods that do a better job eliminating codes from catless headers and IPD Plenum/TB. Bit less expensive too, so would be worth switching to if you haven't already purchased the Cobb.

I lowered it's value by driving it which resulted in another out of wallet expense for the freshly cracked windshield.
