Hey everyone, I just picked up mine today. Can't wait to break it in then hit MSRH. There is an event in Sugar Land tomorrow at Town Centre from 8-10am if anyone is planning on going let me know. I typically don't go to car shows, but its a friend's b-day.

Austin Area Sunday Morning Drive?
Hey there...anyone in the Austin area up for a drive on Sunday AM?
I was thinking get together at 10 somewhere, meet/greet, drive around for 60 - 90 minutes and hit lunch (Rudy's on 183?). I've had my GT4 for a couple weeks now and would like to meet other owners and put some break-in miles on the car.
Thoughts?

- Head west on 1431
- Right onto Nameless Rd
- Left onto Round Mountain
- Left onto 1869
- Left onto 1174
- Left onto Cow Creek Rd (Co Rd 328)
- Left onto 1431 and you're back where you started. Obey the speed when 1431 is 4 lanes wide because that area is patrolled by cops pretty regularly.
That route is a good mix of wide open roads to open the cars up as well as twisty sections, especially Cow Creek, and most of it has actual passing zones, although there's rarely any traffic out there anyway.

Please let me know if anyone is interested in getting together this weekend - we can always do it next weekend as well.

FYI, tomorrow (Sunday) is Cars n Coffee out at the Oasis.
This would be both an opportunity for a social event, but also may mean more traffic on those roads around the event.

Not sure if I'm going, been meaning to for a while, so I give it 50/50 depending on weather.
Also, I am on the board of the local (Austin) PCA chapter if you have any questions. And if you are interested in DE, we have a local single-day "Intro to DE" coming up October 2 (registration opens Sept 2) that will be held in San Marcos. It will include instruction and 4 sessions for $200.

I've been track driving for 6+ years, but its always been on an AWD platform - so can't wait to get the GT4 out there. I assume San Marcos = Harris Hill? That might be a great way to start translating my experience into the mid-engine RWD platform of the GT4. Any issues with a more advanced driver that has ~40+ hours on H2 being out there with the intro to DE crowd?

Didn't know about the CnC event, but also didn't realize it was likely to rain tomorrow as well! Looks like a spirited drive is out for tomorrow then and I'm with you on the CnC event - I'll probably show up if its dry, but not interested in hanging around in the rain. Thanks for the info!

If you've been tracking for 6 years, then this event is probably not in your best interest, especially if you are signed off for solo. It would be fine if you want to register and show up, but the intention is for people without much, or any, track experience. You'd be fine signing up for any of the other PCA DE events coming up... there is usually very good instruction available for the beginner groups so you could get a feel for the car and differences in RWD handling.

This is nice to know... We'll be relocating to New Braunfels next year. Look forward to meeting the growing hill country GT4 community!

Can you allow the PUBLIC sharing so when I click your map I can email it to myself? Thanks. Also, I can meet up this afternoon if you are interested.
