That must be at Gulson/Porsche Centre Canberra. Congratulations AlpineR!

Only the older LWB (what we called the gt2 type/folding) has now heating
in ROW. If he would have ordered the newer LWB (918 type/non-folding),
these also do not have the option of seat heating. So on the LWB like ours,
the 918 type, the ROW is in the same un-heated 'boat' as us!

No Porsche market has that option on the newer 918 type LWB on any of
the 991/981 models. No one knows why that is. Only the top-of-the-line
918 Spyder enjoys heating on their namesake LWB seats!

Would be interesting to see how they heat their LWB... I've already purchased seat heater inserts from Amazon for my LWB... No way I'm driving a convertible without seat heat.

In Aus Porsche plays an interesting game, you buy at the closest dealer, they don't support interstate buyers at all. It's a Porsche Australia thing, meant to keep the dealer networks here more balanced. But given some of their cars of late down under, Macan, the GT range and spyders all attract a zero $ discount there is no benefit to shop around, unless your local dealer can't supply, in which case get on the phones.
Re the seats, I had them in my Cayman R, love them and given they come as a standard in our spyders they are a bargain, literally. And yes heating is a big bonus, and how f'ing good do they look?

a close friend, opened 'Porsche Centre Sydney South' in March 2004.
In 2007 he sold it to Porsche Cars Australia. Unfortunately, Ray died
of lung cancer in 2010. At 'Porsche Sport Car Classic' we held here in
Carmel back in October, 2011 (in conjunction with Rennsport IV), I
was put in charge of creating a special trophy to honor the memory
of Ray Lintott. And the recipient of the award was Michael Bartsch,
then COO of PCNA, but formerly with Porsche Cars Australia!
Interestingly enough, Michael Bartsch left PCNA to head Infiniti US
in 2013 (he was replaced by Joe Lawrence at Porsche). But Bartsch
didn't last long at Infiniti.

After Infiniti, Michael headed back to Australia to join VW, just in time
for 'Dieselgate'. His timing is impeccable!

My wife & I are planning a trip 'down under' in the next two
years to visit our many Australian friends & experience your
country. It will be our first visit. We are looking forward to
it. We are great fans!
