Default If you got Sport Chrono, would you get it again?

I know there's been a bunch of discussion on Sport Chrono but I'm wondering this:

If you have it on your GT4, would you get it again? I'm spec-ing a GT4 and I already use Harry's LapTimer...but I don't love it. I'm curious if people who ordered Sport Chrono would do it again.

I ordered it, but only for resale as some ppl think it's a must.

It's pretty useless.

I bought it purely because it looks cool and the dash seems a bit empty without it. Bling purchase for me.

I have it as well

Tried the app and it's pretty useless (at least for me). Hopefully they improve on it

I had initially ordered on my GT4 as my C4S has it. In my C4S it give me things like dynamic engine mounts, launch control etc... and was worth it. I was pretty disappointed when I discovered in the GT4 it really only gave you the clock and the app (unless I'm missing something)

Then again, if I was ordering another GT4 I'd still opt it purely for future resale value.

Rule number one when ordering a Porsche : never spec for the next guy.
Rule number 2 : Porsche and dealers make the most money with options and the configurator is a perfect tool to play with your mind and make you load up your build, when in fact, most models come from the factory with pretty much all you need.
Rule number 3 : personalization is great if knowing where to stop. Less is more in a true driver's car.

I doubt that anyone will be able to recoup that ~$2k on resale.

Only options that I would consider meaningful on resale would be the Navigation and LWB. To what degree, I don't know.

If you like the way it looks, then get it. Personally, I couldn't justify that much money for a quartz clock. Maybe if it had a smooth sweeping second hand, I'd feel differently.

^^ what he said, but I think a leather dash is a consideration for resale and chap on a GT4. The rest doesn't matter. Seats maybe..

It also gives you the shift gear indicator and the g-force indicator. Again - these are pretty useless.

Unless you plan to use the track app, or you like the look of the clock, this is an option to skip.

Had it all configured for my first track weekend with the car but made the mistake of downloading IOS 9 before going to the track, so it did not synch with the car. I am back out in a couple of weeks and I hope to see how it works then. If you have a $3 app and it doesn't work you're annoyed, when you have an $1,800 app and it doesn't work you're pissed.

Poor mans version. Works in any car and no GPS or set up needed. Plus you save$1800.
Used it Saturday at the track works great. ..Carl

In other cars ... it looks like after thought in this car it looks like it belongs
I know, 1800 dollars for a clock !! Crazy

Looks like crap on the 911 so easy choice there. On the 981 it looks integrated and I couldn't stand the dash without it from the cars I saw on the lot. I find myself actually using it to check the time often in traffic, even though there's like 3-4 other places to check that in the car on other screens

I got it mainly for looks. The GT4 felt like a bargain so I loaded up on options that looked good and made me happy. I could have spec'd the car 8k cheaper and still would have been satisfied. LWBs and leather were the only must haves for me.

My car has nav and sport chrono

I'd skip them

Waze on phone is a better Nav
