not as good as bbs, Forgeline, finnspeed etc...
but oz is not a bad wheel. just not quite up to some others.
I have ran oz for many years

also like finnspeed posted. ere are forged and there are FORGED.

Wheels from OZ, HRE, etc are limited as far as sizes and offsets. Really leaning towards the 19x8.5 and 19x11 sets. 255F and 285R RE-71r.
again oz is good stuff
see above
can one feel .5" difference? depends in ur level of exp, how e car is set up, type of tires....

hey all wheel gurus, so I have a set of OZs but the rears are 19x11 et65. I was going to get some 20-26mm spacers making it a 45 to 39 offset. Since the 19x10.5 ideal is et42-44, What do you think the ideal spacer size is for the extra 0.5"?

20mm spacer to make 11" at 45mm will work
but that's a BIG spacer which i dont recommend.

Chris get OZ leggra hlt in 19x11 ET50. They will fit, but may need aftermarket toe links

For 19"x9" wheels in front, any particular reason folks seem to be settling on et50? That pushes the outer face of the wheel out over 17mm versus stock!

Whereas an et55 wheel would only push it out ~13mm, and keeps the inside wheel edge at the exact same location as stock (the extra 1/2" just pushes the outside edge out).

Yup, and there is one person who reported on ET54 9X19s that they had (and were selling) and they fit. I think with these options one ends up rubbing on the brake duct, but not elsewhere, the wheel just sticks out of the fender. However, I agree with you, 5 mm less sticking out would be desirable. (and because a little sticking out is pretty noticeable, I do think 5mm would make a noticeable difference in appearance)

I'm guessing that ET50 was tried first because although it seems that ET55 would be in the same location as stock, it's actually a little closer to the strut because it's a 19 and not a 20 inch wheel and due to the angle the strut makes. However, I think it will be okay. (but I take NO RESPONSIBILITY if you order wheels and they don't fit!)

Keep in mind that the wheel width really doesn't matter as much as you think, 8.5 vs 9 with same offset, since the tire is wider than either wheel when it comes to the fender. What you'll notice more is that you will actually have a slight increase in section width of the tire due to the fact that its not pinched as much with the 9 vs the 8.5 wheel. From the tirerack info page:
The industry rule of thumb is that for every 1/2" change in rim width, the tire's section width will correspondingly change by approximately 2/10".

IMHO its that so many people want a flush look that drives the change in offset.
