Just a quick question about wheel widths that everyone is running.
Is 10.5" or 11" width for the rear necessary?
Is 10" enough to fit a 285 or 295 tire?
10" width wheels give more clearance for the toelink and are slightly lighter.
Is 9" necessary for the fronts? Is 8.5" width enough to fit 265 tires?
Thanks

Is 10.5" or 11" width for the rear necessary? NO YOU CAN RUN WHATEVER YOU LIKE
Is 10" enough to fit a 285 or 295 tire? YES BUT NOT OPTIMAL. 1O.5 IS NARROWEST I WOULD RUN. IT WILL FIT.
10" width wheels give more clearance for the toelink and are slightly lighter. DONT KID YOURSELF THAT YOU WILL FEEL THE DIFF IN WT B/N 10 AND 10.5" WHEELS
Is 9" necessary for the fronts? Is 8.5" width enough to fit 265 tires?
265 CAN BE MOUNTED TO 8.5 BUT 9" WOULD BE BETTER

I would have no idea. If you are sticking with stock sizes, you're not going to find a better cast option than the OE wheel. For 19", don't be fooled into thinking a "rotary forging" or "flow forming" are any different than cast in the areas that count.

Wheels from OZ, HRE, etc are limited as far as sizes and offsets. Really leaning towards the 19x8.5 and 19x11 sets. 255F and 285R RE-71r.

"Commoners like me want track wheels, but dont have the custom forged, offset, width"
Take a look at the forgelines for sale in this forum. They are custom, forged, and come with tires at a screaming deal. No affiliation but I looked hard at them before going with the GS1R
"Really leaning towards the 19x8.5 and 19x11"
I read a lot of posts on this forum as well as the track setup wiki and you may want be cautious with the 19 x 11 unless you are prepared to do some other mods. I went with the 19x10.5
I went with the MPSS in a taller profile 255/40 295/35 on the 19" wheels for a more compliant daily driver ride on the means streets of the SF Bay Area. Once I start my second career as a race car driver I want to try the Hoosiers on the forgelines
