We're you told the same thing too, I heard it second hand.

It was a decent spec, pity more weren't like it.

I still have mine. Still love it. Am even going to look for a CS shortly so I can reduce the amount of track time I'm doing in it.

Mine has ticked over 10,000kms

I have done 8000km in mine since delivery about the same time as Snowman's. it's a great car, the best I have owned and have no regrets sellling on my 993S as I only wanted the one the car. I had the opportunity to buy a 991.2 GT3 but for what I do I don't see any value in changing as it's that good a car.

Jim glad to see you are enjoying yours so much.

Still have mine, coming up on two years and about 23,000km. Still love it and not looking to move to anything else in the foreseeable future.

Seems like these cars have got under the skin of quite a few of us. I picked mine up mid Sept last year and have done about 5,000km. I've ordered a 991.2 GT3 for late delivery 2018 but at present I'm thinking of keeping the GT4 as a dedicated road registered track car. I have started to learn it and it sure beats driving my old 996.1 GT3 down to Wakefield though it's not quite as fast on track as that car. It's also a bit more "disposable" than a spankers new GT3 which I'd reserve for more gentleman-type track days. If I keep it, I'd do a few engine mods to get some more ponies.

I still have mine. Coming up to a year (first service in three weeks time), and should tick over 4000km on the drive home from work tonight.

Not looking at moving the GT4 on anytime soon, the only thing I'd consider replacing it with is another newer GT4, GT4RS (if Porsche decide to offer one for sale), or possibly a 991.2 or 992 GT3.

The only new car I'm looking at at the moment is a Giulia QV to replace my A45

I've been happy, when looking at the prices online for GT4s, that they appear to be holding their value well

Yes, drove the red one at PCH. My biggest problem with it is that it doesn't make any noise. Back to back with the GT4 it almost feels like an electric car. It also feels a bit insulated from the road. You can stack on the pace and not really get the sensation of speed. Add to that more body roll and turbo lag, and it just doesnt feel like a 300k car. Given the almost Grand Tourer feel that it has, I cant really see why people would buy them over say a C63 or M4.

Saw your Cayman at PCH, had much interest?

Do you know of any other gearboxes in Australia going? When I asked my dealer last week he said he didn't know of any which have failed.

Hi Charlie It seems the dealers never know what the rest of the whole entire world knows, but they had box ready to go which says to me someone knew something lol

I think someone in Qld has had this issue before me

Purchased a GT4 (ex Sydney) last week. Phenomenal car. Had a 3RS and was without Porsche waiting for the .2 3RS. Now I don't know if I really want one
