Congrats John! Photos as soon as you get it. Who is your dealer? Is it Paul Miller? I saw a new CWM GT4 there yesterday with the wrappers still on.

Thanks for coming out for a quick ride yesterday morning! We all managed to meet up on the road with no real issues. Harriman was very crowded as expected but we still had a great time.

Post Harriman, three of us had a nice lunch with our cars parked on display safely in the grass of the restaurant.

Hey everyone! How can you tell if your remote battery is dying? My remote wouldn't lock my doors or pop my trunks but the remote light blinks when I press the buttons. I've only had my car for 2 months and I rotate my keys....

That would be very odd. I had my last keys for two years only using 1 with regular use without any issues. Is it just one remote over the other?

Yea it's very odd and I'm in the middle of Manhattan with things I need to do. I tried starting the car and getting out. Walking back to my car now to try again.

I'll have to try the other key too when I get home.

I had this EXACT same thing happen to BOTH my keys at rest stops during my Atlanta road trip last month. It would happen randomly and was impossible to reproduce at the dealer.

In my case it turned out that having any 3rd party GPS device running inside the car near the windshield (Garmin Nuvi 2435 and iPhone 5) would cause interference. As soon as I shutdown or remove the device, both keys came back to life.

I also discovered that the iPhone has a little less interference so if you hold the remote key above the windshield and press the button, it will wake the car up again. Go figure...

My key LED would light up as well, definitely NOT a dead battery. Both my keys would stop working at the same time when I had the GPS's running.

Have you tried to put the remote under your chin and click?

I would go to Porsche of Fairfield. They probably sell more GT cars then any other dealer in the NE.

I don't have anything bad to say about the sales group at Fairfield, but my past experiences with Fairfield's service dept have been HORRIBLE! Would avoid at all cost.

Interesting. I guess Ill wait for a few more people to chime in to get a good consensus.

I want to get in as today I noticed I was reading 3 blocks down on the digital oil gauge. Cause for concern after only 800 miles?

I can vouch for Porsche of Fairfield's service department. Call them and ask to have Jimmy work on your car. He's the best of the best and the only one I trust with my cars. There are many Carrera GT and 918 owners on this forum who will vouch for his work....his username on here is jimmyrepasi. Shoot him a pm.
