OK Guys, need your help here... many of you have heard of the TireRack Teen Street Survival course - It started out life as a BMWCAA event.
My wife and I are volunteering at the upcoming event this weekend (April 23) at Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, PA, hosted by the BMW CCA Delaware Valley Chapter.
This event is once again sold out for the teens... There are 68 teens signed up for 30 spots, so the waiting list is long. (Keep reading this note to learn what we're doing about this tremendous response we continue have to our program here in the Delaware Valley and surrounding areas.)
But first...
We have 17 volunteers signed up. Of those 17, only 13 are in-car coaches. We still need more help for event volunteers and in-car coaches! (Yes, I'm one of them, no I don't have kids and I never instructed kids on how to drive... yet, nor have I ever instructed a DE event... just blind skiers)
If you're interested, here is the link:

Also, if you know someone else that would like to help us out, please forward this on to them for their consideration.
In response to the demand we continue to see for this program, the PCA Riesentoter Region's team is hosting the next next scheduled TRSS event on May 21 back at Montco. I've checked with Chris Karras, the registrar for that event, and he tells me there is a student waiting list for that one too!
So, in support of our expansion plans for TRSS in 2016, the PCA Delaware Region has recently signed a contract for a TRSS event to be held July 23 in Wilmington, DE at the Wilmington Blue Rocks stadium. This will be the club's first TRSS event, and their planning for the event is underway, so I hope many of you can come out and support them. They also hope to add a second date this fall. Watch for a volunteer registration note from them as well!
Then, on August 6, the PCA Riesentoter team will host their second event of the year back at Montco, and the SCCA Philadelphia Region will hose their first event of the year at Warminster Community Park on August 20.
If you're doing the math as I go along here, that will make 5 TRSS events for the year so far. (That is one more than they did in all of last year).
But - that may not be all there is! As I mentioned, the PCA Delaware team is considering having a second event in the fall, and the SCCA Philly team is looking at a new venue in far NE Philly/Bucks County for late September. We also hope to be returning to the Lehigh Valley in October at the Iron Pigs stadium. Those discussions are underway.
Why so many events? Well, based on the registration responses and long wait lists we've had the past few years, the demand is there.
If you can't help out this weekend, how about another?
Thanks for the band width, and lets go make some younger drivers car enthusiasts and/or track junkies too.
Thanks!

Another JBM reporting in! Going to be a long couple of days as my dealer just messaged saying that after a long wait my GT4 should arrive any day now.
Looking forward to a good summer and hopefully meeting up with the local GT4 community!

Don't forget the pre-meet location for the local GT4's so that we can roll in together!

As of right now I still should be able to make it. If I do, you guys will see the DIRTIEST GT4 ever! LOL
It will be coated with 2000+ miles of bugs and brake dust.
