does anyone know if BGB is still in business? I've been trying to get info from them on headers but no one seems to be answering messages here for the last couple of months.

their last post was March 27. That's two weeks. Did you CALL them?

I was on the road 2 weeks ago and in the shop all last week. My entire staff has been in the office and shop for the entire time. If you haven't called them or tried to reach out to them directly I don't know what to say. I usually preface all PMs with a request to email me or call the shop directly and if I didn't, I apologize.

To be fair, the last PM I got from you was 3/25 and the 1st was earlier that month when you asked for a discount because a certain other brand was several hundred dollars less; I didn't immediately reply because they are in fact NOT more expensive on a pre-tax/shipping basis than the brand you were shopping me against. Given the negative response you sent me when I asked if you cared about 3.4L dyno comparison info, I didn't see the potential to win you over and I will take full responsibility on dropping the ball on following up with you via PM.

My apologies. I haven't been updating threads or even spending time on my car because I've been slammed finishing existing projects and attending to our trackside support business. Miguel, Hector or Kyle would be glad to answer any questions for anyone during normal business hours if anyone were to call (386)265-1979.

Whilst I believe that person's last comment was just an (IMO inappropriate) dig to get a reaction, I do think you need to delegate forum updates to someone else if you cant get to them for a period. About a week and a half ago (and several pages in the thread), a member posted about a problem (with significant safety implications) about one of the upgrade components and we have had all manner of comments (even from other vendors) since then but not a word from BGB. This doesn't look good. I had assumed you had gone quiet whilst focussing on the fix, but silence could be (mis-)interpreted in a number of ways. I don't have any skin in this game, but I do think if you are going to develop a forum presence, you need to keep it active in order to protect your brand. My 2 cents.

I hired an office manager and made one of their responsibilities be to monitor these forums and they came to me about what was going on but given that i wasn't directly involved AND reached out to the other parties that were, he did not make a statement on our behalf. I have maintained since day 1 that no one should do a throttle body upgrade without a tuning solution to accompany it. My original ECU tuning partner was able to successfully code the ECUs to work with the larger 82mm throttle body on prior cars. You all have gotten excited about Cobb, with whom i'm also now working and they too add currently trying to find a solution. I never experienced these problems before with prior generation 981s but the ROM version of the GT4 is newer than what's been out since 2013.

These issues are the first I have ever heard of this behavior but ShakeNBake followed up and said that there are several people experiencing the same scenario. I did not sell ShakeNBanke the plenum or the throttle body nor did i sell him an AP or custom tuning but I have however been in contact with him several times solely for the prupose of lending an extra ear to the situation because hanging throttles are no light matter and need to be resolved before anyone is driving on track with a car that does this.

I apoloigize for not chiming in earlier. Most people usually send me an email if there's something going on that myself or my staff has missed. That would be a huge help. I chose to reach out though directly to those involved in the interest of urgency. I agree that it's important to chime in and address things like this ASAP for the sake of our brand...i just went outside of Rennlist to do it so i could have all of the facts first.

Haha no comment

Also, many kudos to BGB as a great company to work with. We are all here to support the automotive community in any way we can.

BTW - did you ever get the problem resolved? Was it a new COBB tune?

Has it been determined it is a tuning issue or a parts issue?? I am a little confused at this point

What other software provider have you tried?

I have not talked to anyone else about it. Letting Cobb figure it out.

isn't this just a track-related issue.. repeated high revs? meaning, for normal road driving has this problem presented itself?
