718 GT4?

The tables have turned haha I was a heavy believer in it being the 3.8L X51 or 4.0L with cheap internals but after watching the recent videos comparing the 718 GT4 and 991.2 Carrera... I'm sold on it being a turbo motor

That downshift after the 3:00 mark does not sound like the 3.0 turbo at all, it does sound very NA.

Yes, this video. Listening with headphones you can here a higher pitch to the exhaust, than the 991.2 video posted earlier in the thread.

b) Irrespective of that, the downshift at the 3:00 mark could just as equally be that of a turbo charged car.

My guess is, that they are still working on some issue/problem with the car. Either emissions, performance or both. The test cars have been at the Ring for so long, hard to imagine they don't have all the data they need. Especially when you factor in the fact the 718 GT4 Club Sports were released way ahead too.

All this waiting has given me so much time to fall in love with my 991.2 that I don't care about buying a Spyder/GT4 anymore.
I'm still curious as to what it will be though.

Exactly this. All this waiting made me say "screw it" and get a lava orange 991.2 Carrera S instead.

I agree that the marketing inspired wait is taking some luster off the forthcoming GT4
