Please don't tell me it was an SA or Manager at a P dealer.......so far the only people that have seen in detail the Clubsport version are the ones that were invited to purchase one or the well connected cleaning ladies.
We have a few of the CS owners here and post little bits of info. I would bet that right now their info is far more reliable and accurate than anyone at a Porsche dealer.

LA - GT4CS for sure ( Wessiach officially started taking orders early October ) / Street car TBD - seems more likely with the 992 getting pushed to Geneva but who knows. Their is a private event at PECLA Tuesday/Wednesday before the LA show.
Geneva - 992 - partially confirmed by multiple people (delay possibly due to carb cert - LA was the original plan)
Frankfurt - Taycan
The 981 was launched at Geneva with the GT3RS......it could be the same (instead of GT3RS with the 992) but this time the CS will be out before the street car. Not sure if pushing the dates so far into the year is going to happen.
Anyway, I"m eagerly awaiting the final details on the CS as the street car will carry the same powerplant.

992 will be in LA. People are being flown in from around the world to see and write about it, I also got the list of Porsche execs available for interview at the show this week and going by which product lines they represent the picture is clear. (Based on that I do agree that the CS being shown is possible, if a little strange and not in line with the usual timeline)

On some other forums, some of those being flown in are trying to get rid of their plane tickets because they are told the plans changed. I have no skin in the game just repeating what I’ve read.

Porsche themselves bought mine and I got more info a few days ago...the list of people who are coming from Germany suggests nothing has changed.

I'll go by what they are telling me first hand for now, until that changes anything else sounds implausible.

I will also add that any regulatory delays should have no effect on what they bring to the show, at most it would affect the first delivery dates which are quite a way out anyway.

I cannot comment on the club sport or owners. That is a motorsport car with a known gearbox. The person was in Germany, viewed future model line ups, saw the physical car was told 4 litre around 420HP. Happy to believe what he said. Could this have changed in the last 12 weeks? Could there have been a translation problem? Could there be an RS version confusing the issue? PDK in the production car? We could go on and on and on. When the production version will be shown to the public is a guessing game (flip a coin its down to 2 dates). What about Detroit? The 992 is ready to go (its LA). In the end if the car is s not what I was told, I will consider the new facts and re-evaluate my decision. No problem. Not too concerned. Can't go wrong with this car.

Lol - when comparing the 4 pipe 991.2 in the first video (note there are several cars in that video), and the 718 GT4 in the second video, they sound very, very similar to me. Both slightly muted flat 6 engines. Based on those videos my money is on the 718 GT4 going 3.0 turbo, same formula they used for the 981 GT4 (taking the S engine).

It has been said over and over that the 6 cylinder Turbo from the 911 will not fit in the 718. It just isn't possible says all those in the know.

And those same people have said repeatedly it will be an NA Flat 6 - the 3.8 with power kit.

Are we going to name any of these ‘people in the know’? The only person who has consistently provided reliable inside information on rennlist is Chris, and he has been silent on this topic.
